tfw you converge two franchises with opposing themes and gameplay design to appease a market of tasteless children and easily distracted adults to the point where it becomes incestuous and you end up cloning the same map so many times that you create the King Charles II of Spain of the FPS world
Stephen Boe - Aviixe https://www.instagram.com/stephen_boe/ https://twitter.com/saboe627 There's definitely more to come from him as well. I think he's done an awesome job so far portraying what the team envisions. For example, this specific mood piece I gave him a bunch of references from the H2 Gravemind mission and other places and asked for a setting like a Covenant place of worship within the High gardens of high charity. He went on to elaborate on that a bit more since I'm not expert in lore though. I really wanted to see that contrast between natural and covie.
There's some stuff I enjoy concept wise from them that I wish would have carried better into the actual game. Riptide, for example.
I quit forging because of script overload and budgets that do not accurately portray what the game can handle, the game truely can not handle a lot of scripts at once despite the budget being extremely high, and it even somehow corrupted one of my maps in a strange way, I can't get basic message scripts to work on it after I activated a boatload of scripts at once. There is nothing more frustrating than the scripts in this game, you spend more time creating workarounds for all the issues that should not exist than you do scripting what you want. Fun fact did you know that player boundaries completely ignore players if you have more than 20!
That looks ****ing awful, and the **** in game looks exactly like it. That picture it basically riptide
I love the red orange and white sci fi look. Unfortunately they dont understand the elegance of simplicity
"Down here, only the strong survive... Are you a wolf? Or fresh meat?" It's done. There are barely flaws with the lighting, as authentic and accurate as it can get in H5 right now. There are a few small spots that I personally still hate, but whatever. All powerup positions have a colour indication of the surrounding environment, which makes it easier for players to remember which are where. The map bursts of interest now, so I'm happy. Just waiting for purely to get his ass online to see if he wants to change weapon layout etc, he hasn't been on for daaays - It's playable though! Download Link
