I've talked about this a little here and there... my first and biggest project in Halo 5 Forge... put on hold to get better at scripting and actually finish stuff... learned a lot along the way. Going back to finish her... IT IS NOT MEANT TO BE A PERFECT MAP > But rather, a playable scripting demonstration and exercise in "engineering" within a map and packing as much scripting as possible into the same. What you see is still a WIP (duh, waywo). It is massive in budget, and cannot be improved upon a ton. Some asthetic improvements will be made, but due to size of this all-interior map, it may not be possible to make all areas look detailed or have wonderful lighting (which is definitely still WIP). The most plain areas will be given some attention. Features include: Large Starship with multiple decks, Star Trek "The next Generation" themed (but not strictly adhered to) Red & blue teams Battle for control of either Engineering or the Bridge, using tech to assist you. Bridge, Engineering, Sickbay, Transporter room, arboretum, stellar cartography, 10 Forward Lounge Sophisticated automatic door system, integrated with lift system. (15 auto-doors in total) Engine generates power for all systems featured. When below established thresholds for each system, they cease functioning. Damaged engine cannot generate power. 4(or 5) way TurbloLift system (uses teleporters as illusion of multi-elevator system). Lifts occupied by players show as unavailable at other lifts. Lifts chosen as destinations are also temporarily made unavailable for other lifts to choose. (maintains illusion that these lifts move through a system of tunnels and are coordinated by a super computer) Red Team (command) works to damage engine so that engineers (blue) cannot use tech to gain control of the ship, while blue team uses their engineering skill to to break the codes to take over command of the bridge. Teleporter system (room pictured below, but demo will be saved for later ) you know how I roll... ignore a lot of the test switches and colored blocks lying around... they are for testing. Encourage me to finish this! http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ExTerrestr1al/video/47316982
only 10 seconds in and I am in love *edit* I cannot like this more than once but you had better ****ing finish this holy ****
lol guys I'm being ironic. I still use my PS4 when P.S. You know that you can still sit on the couch and play with a controller on PC, right Martian? And you can lean back if your desk chair allows it *gasp*
So remember 343 removed thrust slide glitch? (which was awesome) I did this by accident tonight Its nowhere near as cool but it still launches you quite a bit Ill have to try it on different slopes and heights but thought it was pretty cool http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Box Knows/video/47321531 Edit: In previous halos you could probably get the same outcome by just crouching right before hitting the ramp, but in halo 5 it never works, so I guess the slide acts as the crouch almost
Leaning back is better than leaning forward which often happens while working at a computer. For me it's a problem that i deal with at work. I actually want to get one of those standing desks.
Just rename the game Shotguns Royale since it is all anyone uses. Im convinced Epic games just has an obsession with shotguns.
Your bullets do less damage the further away someone is. It's arbitrary, it lowers the skill ceiling, it's frustrating, and in Fortnite, it will just make camping in a tower at the edge of a storm even more viable. All of that just to "balance" the fact that they added first-bullet accuracy. We can't have good players hitting their shots and getting rewarded for it, because that would be unfair. What a ****ing joke.
I'm looking for a blank sky canvas for a cloud-sorta-stage, but I don't want to do it in the space one because I don't want to do it at night. Is there a day-time canvas with no ground? (sorta like alpine-sorta lighting)
