just realized I can only see 11/12ths of my screen on this stupid baby monitor I'm using

 

Everyone in the house was gone for a few days, so I spent some time on some old maps that never got released.
Superb gameplay is not the goal of these maps. I'm just messing around with some design concepts and working on developing certain skills that I see myself as lacking at the moment.

I realize they're ugly and IDGAF.
I realize they're all squares and IDGAF.
They're not playable, and probably won't be. IDGAF.

I remember having so much hope for that map editor. Let's hope Halo 6's map editor is as dramatically improved over Halo 5's as Halo 5's was over Halo 4's. Please god let the Forge team feel at least mildly pressured by the latest Far Cry editor so that we get a massive overhaul. Could you imagine how kickass forge would be if you could build campaign like levels in it with AI. Let people build their own Warzone or Battle Royal map if that's their thing. I would even be for someone building their own Macgyvered Halo version of a crafting game.

Sorry, got into a bit of a thing there. Nice map, time to move it to Halo 5.

 

This will probably be the one time 343 and Microsoft won't copy mechanics from other shooter games.

As a forger, I should probably know better than to say 'never', but I'm not planning to ever forge on Halo 5 again. Just have no interest in it at all.

As soon as I go into player mode in H5 I just get annoyed. That's enough reason for me not to touch it. At least in H2A I can enjoy moving around on my own map.

BTW, apologies to everyone for posting about a map without sharing any pictures. I totally forgot that XBOX clips can't be embedded on the forum.
I'll try to post up some images, but it's honestly probably better to watch the walkthrough, because the piece usage is crap and you won't be able to tell much from pictures (everything blends together).
