Maaaybe if they discuss a 4v4 forge playlist that rotates right now we might just get one. And give big team the attention it deserves. And gametypes jeez. And a story. And forge at launch. And less gimmicky abilities. And fyi nobody cares about 287 emblems, 562 helmets and 345 visors. And 16 different weapons doing the same job. And warzone. And ah **** it..... Just surprise us. Portal maps = the evolution of key maps... So basically you have a weapon on the map that shoots charged no damage shots that can create portals on certain walls. Basically key maps but better and also impossible to do in halo. Basically just put a portal gun on a map.
Speaking of portal maps. About to drop a map with mechanics akin to the movie jumper. My main man Sexymasterchief figured out the scripting. It's going to be HAWT. Hold onto your butts. Will need testers for this 2v2 eventually.
On the topic of other games - I've been playing Fortnite and it's actually really quite fun. I don't think it has long term replay value with only one map and Slayer only, but they are adding other game modes eventually. Building via the controller can be frustrating at times, but it adds a lot to the dynamic of the game. It plays smoother than PUBG, which would be a lot more fun if it weren't so buggy. Have you guys invested actual time into trying Fortnite or PUBG and what are your thoughts after playing them?
See's portal gun. Alright. See's gun shoot. Kay. See's map and movement. Moving on. A game like that needs maps like Swag Crow but without teles.
Just offering an alternative for key map haters. Honestly if you made it as a weapon that A has to charge up B has limited shots C maybe despawns on death like key And if you only had limited surfaces the gun could work on it wouldn't be that different from key maps and could be made to work. As stated also, shooting through the portal, the fact you can see through, and maintaining momentum as you go through could be fun and at least feel new and fresh, at least in an FPS setting. Other alternatives could include the ability to open windows (basically portals you could shoot through but not travel through) or a chaotic mode where everyone can create portals (non competitive of course). Xandriths key map already has a key teleporter doesn't it? This isn't that different.

Your comment was that it looked like a key map but better. Yes.it's a key map without any semblance of predictability or control, counterplay opportunity, item control, key limits, or structure. And everyone has the key. Maybe if I could chuck the ****ing key at any wall to break it and gave every player infinite keys you could make a comparison.
