Has anyone ever gotten the problem where the map will not generate lighting? Shadows simply don't bake in when holding down the bake button? What causes this? How can I fix it? What's your favorite flavor ice cream?
I thought this was an issue when you have maxed out the physics budget, but I could be wrong. Try saving a copy of the map as a whole new named one, kill the halo app, clear the cache in the xbox or reset your mac address to just have the console do a full restart and try in the saved file.
Not a fan of ice-cream at all but if it's hot and sunny I have some now and then. Our town has an amazing ice cream parlor. I love citrus fruit. Blood orange, lemon, tangerine etc. Or chocolate. Or yoghurt-raspberry.
If your map refuses to bake lights and youre not on a dev map, you have run your budgets through the ringer
Yes, I had this problem when I was making my race map. I wanted to make it so there was a bright glow coming from the side of blocks in the beginning but to do so took multiple lights. When i placed said lights it wouldn't bake at all, like literally wouldn't even do the "Loading light". Just make sure you don't have too many lights on your map and you should be fine. (I was placing about 200 but it occurred around 100). Side notes, was on tidal.
Watch @Ascend Hyperion video on lighting on yt. Suggestionbis to turnbof bakingbon any piece where it is not truly needed. Brings budget waaaaay down. Especially terrain
I'm assuming you're looking for an answer other than - use a different game engine. Store bought is usually Nutty Moose Tracks. Home constructed is Vanilla with peanuts and peanut crumbles, tiny dark chocolate chips, sometimes banana or chocolate and marshmallow covered popcorn. Local fresh in house icecream is typically Blueberry.
This only happens when you place too many lights in one file. Just consolidating light sources will fix the problem. Like GamerPeepFreaks says, it happens after 100, but I've had many more than that without anything breaking. By the way, Meteor Shower looks awesome with shelac when you break it.
