Cool beans! Got it installed and checked out the maps and there are some cool out of boundaries areas for sure. Really excited for the 0.6 version to come out. Will there be a way to control the degree of rotation in 0.6 (Example - 1,5,15,30,45,60,90) like there is in forge? Right back at ya man. Missed you guys. Dude, I don't think I ever thanked you for that forge feature you wrote. **** had me mysty eyed.
Any chance that you could link some of the mods? Having trouble finding the MFG forge improvements. I did download the one in the FMM mod browser, however it didn't seem to make any changes. I was also having trouble finding the rest of the levels? Or is that not a thing, just remember hearing about many, if not all h3 maps being included. Otherwise, all set up and excited to get my hands dirty.
I'd imagine his priorities are set up wrong in the manager, explaining why some mods may not be showing up. @Blaze There are currently only a handful maps available in ED. However, there is a separate dev team working on H3/ODST map porting, so the rest of the maps (and more) will come in due time. Also keep in mind 0.6 is scraping the launcher for a one-click updater (since all the other options can be done in-game now), meaning you'll have to start fresh with anything you have installed. Like Gab said, I'd honestly just stick it out.
Check the blog guys, some cool **** awaits. Home stretch too btw, only bugs that remain are connection-related. Link for convenience
Full Forge Session #2 "The Station" (Station 9 remake) Walk-through (No, I'm not a fan of Station 9 either. But it's still cool to see more tool demonstration anyway.)
Skyboxes can be swapped to/from any map. Yep, you can now choose any skybox you want when creating a forge map. There are options for inheriting the fog that comes with the skybox, or you can override it with your own custom fog. These skyboxes open an whole new realm of creativity. Take a look at some simple examples of skyboxes being used on different maps. Glass and Emissive Glass have been added as forge materials. 40 New Materials have been added for forge objects. In addition, Forge Material textures can now be scaled, and the x and y offsets can be adjusted. Fog has been drastically improved to look more realistic. Here are a couple of examples: Directional lights have been added. You can control the direction, intensity, fov radius, color, and near width of any light. Pulse and Flicker functions can also be applied and customized to any light source. You can control the minimum intensity, maximum intensity, as well as the frequency of the pulse or flicker. Player size is now a gametype option/trait. Players can be scaled to be tiny, huge, or anywhere in-between.
It's also been reported that all individual problems have been solved and the updater is just about finished. The team is now solely working on testing all the new 0.6 features to be release ready. Dont take my word for it, but im personally set that it's coming out this month.
those lighting tricks really caught my attention... is there scripting? Could that be added at some point?
