Fixed lol I was like '**** he's probably not gonna get good traffic if I don't hook a homeboy up with some cameras'
New map I started a couple hours a ago. I will gladly take any constructive critizisms you might have Good luck finding any tho This one is flawless <------mods I will gladly accept my new forge critic title here
Map's good. Feels a little like Construct. Have you considered more ways up to the top? Also you'll want to add some FX and SFX. Make the map feel more "alive" if you can.
He already has a map with one key, but most of the playerbase ignores it to run around the map aimlessly.
You should leave it like that. Perfect ghost town jk. I think it's looking good man. Have yet to see a western I'm impressed with so I'm looking forward to this. Especially with red dead redemption coming soon.
Thanks man! If top control feels too restrictive, I left that corner next to binary open for a 'phase lift'. It would bring you to the room with the teleporter exit. I always add sound last after I ensure the map is solid (which is why none of my maps have them )
Dude I can't wait for that game haha. I wanted to this for a long time and I have this nasty habit of finishing 99% of what I start so maybe it's time to hang on to this project for a while. If I could actually make a whole town I would do it but we'll see how far it goes. And at the end I need some rolling tumbleweed ofcourse.
Also @waywo fiend gave me an idea for a terrible map. Use the negative filter to make the entire thing look like Spartans have night vision goggles on. You're welcome for the Mind vomit
I really like the windmill and the water tower. I don't think stairs would suit the roof very well though. There are far more pictures than just this with many variations but I don't really see it looking its best in the end if you use stairs. If you use a primitive roof you could potentially allocate more of the budget on wood panneling for the walls for example. I am not sure what you are fully going for so I won't say anything about the mood or lighting, it's nice to see a cool theme though. If you look on littlemonk's map "Quills" you can see he has some moving tumbleweed that has some minimal scripting, I bet you could downscale it using some bushes or for some really nice tumbleweed in the skybox. Depending on the full theme it might be worthwhile checking out alpine because it has some nice water that you could potentially put gold nuggets in and whatnot, plus it has better daytime lighting if that is what you're going for.
