Hey Forgers, today we have the results for the final 15 maps. In this round we used the rubric to average out a score for each map between the judges. The maps that met the par score advanced. DO NOT TOUCH YOUR MAPS! If your map was eliminated then you can find some light feedback from the judges under each maps card on the contests trello board. Also, labels will be used as a basic guideline of what needed improvement and why they probably didnt advance. Design, Art and Gameplay tags will be used if the average judge score for that category was less than 2 OR the maps lowest score.
I feel really really bad. Washed Up was modified on 11/29/17, aka on Wednesday. That is 100% my fault. I directly asked @WeedCough to duplicate the file so he can work on a different project for something unrelated to this contest. I have proof of the convo of where I ask him to do it too if that means anything. I did not know saving a copy would overwrite the modified time (which makes zero sense). I know you said there are no excuses but in all truth, this is not his fault at all.
Sadly there is no other feedback then "Severe Design, Art, or Gameplay" which makes my map sound absolutely horrible yet everyone who tried it said in all honesty that it was one of the better maps of the contest. Who paid y'all? Lol Good job to those who made it.
DQ'd maps still can place they're just not eligible for money. Still, I believe you. And if the other judges also think it's okay im inclined to leave it as a valid entry, doesn't bother me. I've already played the map enough times, any changes now doesn't change anything. Same goes for third gear. Im not a fan of the categories either. I think they're a ridiculous way to judge maps and ultimately not granular or representative at all. I can go over your maps issues privately if you'd like.
@MultiLockOn idk if you know but the bad frame rate on equinox is from 343i's recent update. i'm sure the difference was noticeable but i wanted to let you know.
