You're always welcome when you understand how to take valid criticism. You're not welcome when you go around acting the victim all the time. Just get over yourself, dude.
I won't be crying because I will be playing on a kickass map, hopefully made by you. I want you to be angry because then you will create something worth playing.
Totally fine, I have not seen this guys maps and based off of memes thorough review I assume he wasn't improving the little things but was just reiterating. I am just frustrated and confused about where people are at as designers in this community and I think it largely has to do with a few elitists here who don't realize they do not help people improve because of a standard they hold which they can't even achieve.
Oh yeah people seem to ignore the fact budget and frame rate exist, id never hold anyone to an impossible standard as that would be legitimately unfair. Your standards must be appropriate for the map type and you have to take into account what the creator wants as well. Maybe the creator wants a specific feature that takes a lot of budget, you can't just tell them to remove it all together because you want one area to excel more, I could go on forever but id imagine you might understand my point. I couldn't go onto someone's arena map then complain they didn't use all the budget when framerate is incredibly important in that circumstance.
Why would I remove a review someone clearly spent a lot of time and effort putting together? And to briefly comment on the new (old) reviews war: I am an average forger at best, but the reason I can improve is people telling me my maps are average at best. If everything was sunshine and rainbows, there would be no need to even create maps because we'd all be so blissed out on our potential. That being said, you don't HAVE to improve. Spicy provided his OPINION of your map(s), which is not LAW. You could even take such feedback and tailor it to the exact opposite specifications he provided because it's YOUR map. You get to decide how 'good' or 'bad' it is, because it's your sweat and tears in the map. ALLLLSSSSOOOOOO There is this SUPER NIFTY ignore button that gets rid of people you want nothing to do with. I'm a mod, or I would use it. Tldr Don't post maps without accepting people won't like it.
ForgeHub mod here. It's constructive criticism that he poured a lot of effort into. Even if some find it harsh, there is no reason to remove.
