I dug up an old layout that @Blaze gave me a while back and started messing around with that Scify theme on it. No where near done but a couple things are worth sharing Here's some of the conceptual pieces I came up with first
My 1v1 map has horrible frame drops in several areas now, basically unplayable. (if you play on OG xbox one) This new update was a complete disaster.
Which is why I told people that performance drops don't bother me. Who can keep up with 343 constantly ****ing up forge.
Forge quirk I found a while back that is proving annoying again... that, when you change teams, while your body from the other team still exists (and even though it visibly changes color on screen), you are considered to be on both teams. Just like you can be given a nav marker on your dead body, your dead body can be made to hear a sound. So, if a sound plays for the old team, you on your new team hear that still. There's ways around it, but for Extraction, it's not a big deal. If someone happens to score or capture one of the stations near the time you have changed teams, you may get the wrong sounds/navs for a moment. perfect cleanup of this effect is probably not worth spending a ton of time on.
Speaking of... I got Extraction almost complete last night. Did the map "Haven" have four locations or just three? I seem to see only three in the video you provided in the main thread. Was it different depending on map, or was it 3 for 1 site and 4 for 2 site? Setting it up on "Mercy" obviously, so looking for some authenticity for that map.
Well the last few pages have explained a lot about how people think here to me. What if I told you none of this existed. What I stated above has to do with the fact that at the big bang there should have been equal amounts of matter and anti-matter which means nothing should exist.
That's pretty close to the Coruscant underworld theme I've been tossing around in my head for some time, good job. Look up some shots from Attack of the Clones for some inspiration on that aesthetic.
Depended on the map, but the average was 5 (Haven had exactly 5 IIRC) for both. If it doesn't feel right to have different amounts I'd find an average to push for all maps.
@ExTerrestr1al I am going to have a map for the game type ready in the next couple weeks. It is also the map I discussed about having you do some scripting on.
This is the last time I have started arting up an untested blockout. I just can't help myself lol. It's a few months old and ready to play but I never did. Maybe too big for a 1v1? Maybe too small for a 2v2? I dunno. The only certain thing you have is that it has an awful layout and kinda dull aesthetics, but if you like what you see you can have it. I don't want it anymore so if you think you can make something out of this little project be my ****ing guest, it's all yours. It's called PURE and is kinda a sci-fi water thingy.
