guys... for books, have you tried just taking a simple primitive, duplicating it with different colors, and simply shift them by .001 so that they are not all flush with each other, but rather, depth-wise, are slightly offset? You could get thinner, fatter, taller, shorter, all using this. you're welcome
Nah, those are bad books in my opinion, use the support struts that are really small (Cant remember the exact name but its under supports somewhere), and push them into the shelf itself. With the wood texture and white as the secondary color it looks just like pages side facing forward, with other textures and it looks like it is facing cover outwards. Good furniture requires you to push blocks into walls 99% of the time. I am not at home so I can provide a nice 1080p screenshot of a clear example but this should suffice. I used to use toolboxes but nothing comes close to these as books. Sometimes I will take thick blocks to emulate encyclopedia sized books on bottom shelves.
Thanks a lot I'm quite happy with it. Really taking my time on some prefabs so I end up with a really convincing looking map. Good thinking, I really want to have some book shelves in my map so I'll try that and report back. Thanks for the idea man
Why did they give us bomb explosion damage if we can't even set fuse time? I'm really confused as to what "Delivery Time When Not Carrying" is supposed to do, because apparently it's not fuse time. Can someone who knows people at 343 tell them to fix this?
Agreed, yours are superior by far in terms of asthetics, but some have complained about the size of those books and the complex objects needed (resource intensive). Mine would look much more simplistic, but perhaps sometimes thats okay.
Currently they're made out of 4x8x16/24 for the cases, and small jersey barriers for the books themselves. They might not make the best books, but they save my budget lol (and look pretty neat shooting through them) My biggest challenge is going to be the study area as I want it to look like a wizard left all of his books strewn about (so much so that his pile of books can be used as cover). Next part I'm working on will be the alchemist table so if anyone has any dope art in their back pocket, send it my way <3
I'm actually super excited to see my map after it's been "arted". I usually like to do art myself and I believe that artistic maturity is super important for growth as a level designer, but the map would've never been finished if it were completely up to me. @MartianMallCop Do you think you could script a man cannon to only appear when it's next to the key holder? I know we already have the prefab for doors, so that should be simple.
Beat the previously undefeated guy to go to 7-2 in second place despite stinkers from Martin and McCoy. His team was so good that he never rosters a kicker unless its looking close, so the second the 4:25 games started, I picked up Tavecchio and Parkey (I own Prater and Crosby is also owned) so he couldn't get one because it was looking close. Needed 3 from Prater yesterday and got 12. Would've lost if he had picked up Tavecchio. Pretty stoked it paid off. How about you?
Nice strategy. I won by 6 despite no Bell or McKinnon. Didn’t expect it to be so close. Collins barely got any touches. Carr threw a pick on the last drive, and it solidified my win. 5-2 with the highest points of any team on the league. I just picked up Devonte Parker, and I’m going to get Dede Westbrook from the waiver, so the future looks good.
