Those are some big ass books, I personally never wanted to do a library because the budget from doing a fully stocked bookshelf that is scaled right would simply be too much to be worth it. I mean I did it one time and one bookshelf took 350 pieces.

Is that a kinetic push of a projectile? I've done something similar, but no fuse And yes, you should make it a set piece that is also useful on a map at some point. It should always be an optional so people who don't want to mess with it don't have to, but cool things like this are very welcome becaues few people execute them well. Demonstrating that it is possible to do well is worth it IMO.
Prob could just make a fuse looking thing on the end of it and add a destructible invisible trigger. Script the fuse wick to despawn after triggered. Tldr; you can shoot it and it fires
It could be an interesting dynamic elements if used properly. Could blow open a wall and be used as a secondary objective or something...
you mean spawn when triggered... right? But yes, that would be cool because one could believe that perhaps shooting a fuse might light it, albeit Hollywood physics probably.
oh, I I didn't see a physical fuse... just the sparks. That's what I thought you meant. Light the fuse when shot, therefore sparks would need to spawn in. I get your point, though.
Gotcha. I was thinking almost like a candle wick being added to it as something to shoot and to visually show when it can no longer be fired.
That was the fx cone spawning, its just a forge glitch. You cannot see it in customs so its not really a problem. I think I will remove the button and keep it as a static prop. no projectile. The explosion fx causes damage so it destroyed the boards.
Cool. GOtcha, so the damage from this would have limited range. I see. Not sure if we're using the same explosion Fx but mine does do damage if someone is standing hear the end of the cannon when it goes off. That is, of course, only an effect. Then, simultaneously, an invis blocker pushes a Ball Only forward to a point set by another blocker outside the cannon (adjustable 3 settings). The speed and distance of the "push" that is received by the blocker (like a cartridge in a gun exploding) kinetically sends the ball down to the floor, where a boundary will detect the ball and set it on a path towards exploding, spawning in additional fx & damage zones, sending them to the ball's location. It's a pretty cool setup if anyone wants to load up Castle Wars "Reforged" and dissect the scripting scheme therein. A lot of it may not make sense if you aren't aware of all the band-aid solutions you have to employ in order to catch all of thesituations where something might go wrong. Error trapping, if you will.
