I just thought with original xbox compatibility now out and myself being fortunate enough to get one of my most wanted titles, Red Faction 2, right out of the gate, I would ask what everyone elses most wanted titles are.

I'm hoping for Kung Fu Chaos, Indiana Jones and the emperor's tomb, and Forza 1 to name a few.

Has anyone played Black? I can't help but feel that it looks like it should have been a 360 title. I don't think I even heard about it which is odd since it seems to have been well liked.

For those that still own a copy of Red Faction 2 or intend to buy the BC digital title, I thought I would tell you that it looks beautiful on my 4K tv. I don't know if my TV is enhancing the blacks or anything but it's the best I've seen the game look on console. Also for those that are interested here's a couple worthwhile cheat codes.

Note: There is a an actual cheat page under extras. Only accepted cheat codes disappear.

Unlock all cheats: Y, RB, LB, RB, Y, X, LB, X (tick to enable/disable)
Unlock everything: LB, LB, X, X, Y, RB, Y, RB (this should unlock all multiplayer maps)

Also a heads up to those who have forgotten what it means to own a game developed by a PC-centric developer for a PC software developer engineered performance console. You can configure every button for this title. You can also set up exactly what order you want all of your weapons to auto equip if picked up. If you're really into customizing you're multi player experience, don't forget that you can custom tune your enemy bots.

I ****ing love this game :D

Hey 2017, 2002 is calling. it wants it's promise of a more customizable gaming future back.

I’m probably the only person that got into this game. I went back and played it again a few years ago, and still enjoyed it.

That was a sweet title. I forgot all about it. Kinda reminded me of 2 games I liked. Hydro Thunder and Wipeout. That would be a fun addition to add back to my collection.

    Black was insane!

Also Oddworld Munch's odyssee, Doom III and Pitfall the lost expedition.

I recently bought Beyond Good and Evil for 2 bucks on my Xbone, which is a small masterpiece.

    I thought this was interesting.

    -------------
Four Xbox 360 games will get visual enhancements on Xbox One X when the new console launches next month, Microsoft announced today. Halo 3, Fallout 3, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion and the original Assassin’s Creed will all run at nine times their original pixel count and with expanded color details, starting Nov. 7, thanks to free updates.

Those four Xbox 360 games are already backward compatible on Xbox One, but thanks to a technique known as “the Heutchy Method,” named after the engineer who developed it, they’ll look better than ever on Xbox One X. The method “leverages the power of Xbox One X to let the Xbox 360 emulator present the very best version of the game possible with the existing assets—all without touching the game code,” Microsoft said in an official announcement.

Microsoft is using the same technique in its emulation of original Xbox games on Xbox One.

According to a report from IGN, some of the enhanced backward compatible titles have “10-bit color depth unlocked where they previously had 8-bit” and some have high-dynamic range (HDR) lighting enabled.
    --------------

This probably explains why I feel like this is the best I've ever seen Red Faction 2 look on a console.

    Oh here's a comparison.

and to a lesser degree the 360 improvements.

I'm surprised nobody had anything to say about how impressive the improvements were in the videos I posted above. Fusion Frenzy looks like it got a Serious remaster. It's even more impressive once you see one of the comparisons that show the roll cage gameplay.

I'm loving what the Xbox team is bringing to the table.

I've wanted a new splinter cell for so long, I just hope Ubisoft doesn't ruin it by forcing open world on it. I want a good linear stealth game, preferably with more of a focus on stealth like early games.

As a kid I played Pandoras Tomorrow and Chaos Theory campaign so many times, almost more than Halo 2.

Even though I own a hard copy I thought I would buy a digital copy of Red Faction 2 to show my support for the efforts that were put into back compat, as well as support my desire to never have to get off the couch on game night. Then I realized the bastards were going to charge me %50 more for RF2 than any other game in a list that included KOTOR. $15 Canadian for a 15 year old game guys. Come on now. Guess I'll wait for the inevitable sale.

I miss the original red faction games. They did not get the love they deserved.

No they did not but I can tell you honestly Red Faction 2 does look almost like a remaster on Back Compat. If you haven't already checked the videos I posted above you definitely should. It's amazing what they have done. Sadly they didn't have a comparison for RF2.

I would also like to see Unreal Tournament come back to the xbox.

    unreal.jpg

Off topic, I would love to see UT3 not only added to back compat but I would also like to see maps/modding added since Microsoft is finally willing to do that. Apparently Epic had it all set to go before Microsoft imposed rules on it which Epic wasn't willing to agree with.
