Not sure if you're jabbing, but just in case you are I had that idea on maps like a year ago from doom
The concept could be taken further with an option to jump to somewhere else on the map using the momentum. It would feel like there's an actual purpose to being launched.
Well, it controls pacing when you're not just sprinting into a sender and immediately coming out behind someone. The travel time alone is enough for someone to hear it being used and turn around. But I get what you're saying.
I got u fam http://xboxclips.com/xXandrith/d50d8584-750f-4981-928c-299ff97f6401 the other lift also takes you above one of the key doors to your left and above one of the windows to the large spiral staircase. So if you wanted to continue through to the other side faster, you could thrust/ground pound to the door. If you were getting shot at from where you're about to land, you can thrust/ground pound to the right into the window to survive im still looking for more ways to make it cool and allow players to be creative because at this point that's my number one goal with level design. Creating purpose built encounters that can only play 1 or 2 ways doesn't interest me anymore
@MultiLockOn These are the draw and fire speeds for standard weapons from the last four Halo games. http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38119717 (Halo 3) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38119720 (Halo: Reach) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38119753 (Halo 4) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38119757 (Halo 5) When you look at 3 and Reach, their draw and fire are almost identical. When you compare them to Halo 4, you can see that 4 is slower. And if you compare them all to Halo 5's, the latter's time to draw and fire is almost halved. In Halo 3 and Reach, this draw speed & fire is uniform to nearly every single weapon. In 4 and 5's case, there are exceptions; most notably, the Magnum. http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38120018 http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38119791 In 4 and 5, the draw and fire is halved compared to standard weapons. To really drive it home, look at how fast you can potentially noob combo someone in each Halo. http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38120102 (Halo 3) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38120110 (Halo: Reach) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38120008 (Halo 4) http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/The S0UL FLAME/video/38119804 (Halo 5, noob combo is even faster w/Magnum) You can clearly tell from this selection Halo 5 has the quickest animations when it comes to drawing and firing. The only other Halo game that has even faster draw and fire is Halo 2, including the "YY" button glitches. Something to think about.
The plasma pistol projectile travels much faster in Halo 5 than in any other Halo, and I often kill someone instantly because the plasma bolt and pistol shot seemingly hit at the exact same time. It's pretty obnoxious.
@Dunco If you can somehow capture the essence of this thread and translate it into a forge map, you'd have the greatest cesspool ever constructed. 1 page closer...
So I need @waywo to come up with a good waywo themed shirt. I was thinking a shirt made up entirely of forge pieces but I'm no artist. This is for no reason whatsoever :exacerbated wink:
