Chronosphere should do well with art judging as Should Hatred ,These Walls,Mano a Mano and Hubris.All these maps look great though and it’s gonna come down to gameplay I think an There again we have a lot of killer maps here.Agree about @Chronmeister ,great Job
Cessduel as usual wins best sewer award hands down. Wait, there are also 2 keystones?? On a separate note, will the playthroughs of these maps be recorded for us laymen who are busy during the day? I am too lazy to walk around 90+ maps.
The dude has come a long way and keeps improving. That is why I have never been one to hate on the guy ever. He is a living example of working hard and improving.
Also why is everyone picking maps that are big or noodley. Afterhours is probably the least broken map since it has been tested to absolute death.
Id say out of all these maps there were probably around 8 that really impressed me artistically, my question is if that will be enough to get them to win. I have a feeling a relatively decent looking map with a good layout will win because they wont lose any points on anything but art which is fine considering most people will bomb or not do as well on the layout and gameplay score. Basically the guys with great art will score high on art but layout and gameplay will be what kills them allowing a less beautiful map to overtake it.
if you look at the rounds setup they have for judging, it is clear that something that rests on art will not even be considered for that quality unless it makes it to the finals, where art will help distinguish it from the rest of the other survivors.
Which could still not be enough if the gameplay for something is just superior. This however I do not think will happen as I have not seen one from a layout perspective that could be put above everything else. So, art will probably be the deciding factor at that stage.
If I win, my foreman has to pay me $100. Thanks for the comments guys. I may have to start something new with all this positive energy. It means alot that you guys think what I'm doing is worthwhile. My map likely won't be a contender because of how bad the art is, but I thought the layout was pretty good.
I haven't had a chance to check out Hive yet, but Jaguar has grown on me. It's one of those maps where I like the design more every time I look at it. That doesn't happen often. It's usually the other way around.
