Look at this bullshit. Heres the last 20 games of players ive matched with in doubles after both my buddy and I placing 1700 after 10 matches. This is searching focused. Only two of these games had an onyx below 1800(not sure which, cant check). My buddy and I stayed at 1700 pretty much the whole time but now our win loss and KD look like hoe. My speculation is that the system thinks were above 1700 but cant show us because you can not place above 1700. agreed. they don't have a clear source to make aesthetic sense, and are far too white unless there are some LED or CFL bulbs affixed somewhere Since there is no "tech" apparent in the pics, I'd suggest making sure that nothing on the map appears to be modern or technological, and the white certainly conveys that.
Also, @Sikamikanico, did you purposely reuse areas from either your GitS contest map or pirate/shanty map for the other? just curious why
I'm considering a change to the Flare Equipment Item, based on feedback. @Ascend Hyperion @Portaleer @Foge @The Omicron etc... from Ascend's testing lobby... Can you please give me a vote yay or nay on whether you feel this item would be better if it didn't tag the player for blinding as well as others? In order to get this the way people hopefully would prefer, I put a poll up in the WIP thread, and it was unanimous (7 to 0) that players should be blinded by the secondary blinding effect, but maybe they didn't read what that meant? Secondary blinding means: having the smaller flare follow you and attempt to blind you as you aim. So, the choices are: (for secondary blinding) 1. Blind only enemy team members 2. Blind everyone except player who places it 3. Blind anyone within range (4. would be to give player a chance to thrust backwards out of range fast enough to avoid being blinded by secondary effect, so takes a little skill to avoid.) So it's a rendering thing - when you're in gameplay it just looks "normal" when you go out at a distance to take pics, it does this spotlight affect. That's all. It blends quite well when you're traversing.
Are you referring to Dead on Arrival VS: Major Disturbance/Glassed? Yeah, I wanted to enter the contest on short notice. (Worked out okay!)
Also, I am probably not finishing my 1v1 in time but I am still going to finish it. I have interior aesthetics for the big and tricky side of the map pretty much done so maybe there is still hope. Cuphead has ruined me. I just want to listen to its' soundtrack all day.
I don't think you have seen me. It takes a long time for me to butter something up. I am the guy that peels everything before making a single cut while cooking. Also I am the forger that will build a layout completely out of 8x8 blocks initially. #efficiency
yeah, I am sitting here wondering if I can t hrow together a shitty map in 4-5 days... maybe? (I have an idea I want to use on a map, but don't know if I want to wait until people are done with the 1v1 hype)
