Thing is is that this is probably not far from what we're actually going to get, story-wise. The Banished will have found the Domain and reactivated it, along with the Flood, and everything is going to come to head on the rebuilt Alpha Halo, where Cortana is actually running as an avatar for the processes of 343 Guilty Spark that were conveniently backed up and sent to the forerunner supercomputery **** right when he went nuts and killed Johnson or something, trapped behind a firewall like at the end of Halo 3 (or maybe it's just a rampant subroutine that has gone nuts and taken over, whatever), and Master Chief has to choose wether or not to kill her but it'll turn out it wasn't really Cortana but this rampant one and so he gets to live happily ever after with an electric blue psychowaifu and we will get to see his face the back of his head when they kiss because 343 is not above the ridiculous appeal of making absurd fanfiction canon of and the arbiter will narrate and we might get to play as Cortana for like one cutscene
We didn't even scratch the surface of what the Domain really is in H5. It will very likely continue to play a central, integral role going forward, and with that, will probably wake and stir as it proclaims its true inent, whilst a corrupting Cortana facade crumbles.
You do realize I'm making a worst-case scenario prediction based on 343's tendencies, right? This isn't something I actually want.
I played only part of Halo 5's campaign, and have no clue what it is about. Heck, I played Halo 4 all the way throug ha couple times, and still had no ****ing clue. So, as long as Halo 6 is pretty, has some good enemies worthy of being shot, then it's fine by me. I'll still not have any idea what any of the characters is doing and why.
Yes, it was the book of Jonah, actually but you miss the point. I did not ever know what the **** was going on in the Halo 4 story even at the the time, and could not tell what the hell they were doing in the first few missions of H5. One word. Convoluted.
Don't worry I got your point. I am just trolling. There is nothing to gain from paying attention to most video game stories as most of the writing is not very good. If you think about it most of the games that people consider to have a good story have a more open ended or vague approach to how it is told because they typically have large worlds with many elements.
Master Chief comes out as a *****/bi-questioning and Cortana gets tentacle'd by the super gravemind on the new halo while the flood has a synchronized swimming performance - sarah palmer and captain lasky have a child who has superpowers because he's genetically coded by the forerunners to be the second coming of Native American Ancient Humanity Jesus and then masterchief takes off his helmet to let the arbiter face-suck him with his meaty mandibles all the while dr halsey is talking to the domain because she is a super computer genius lady with no soul who dressed like Rick and acted like Rick and looked like Rick and sounded like Rick before Rick and Morty was ever a thing and now she's getting ****ed by her mistakes and believes in the gods of the mantle and seals it off by sacrificing herself for a an ice cream cone and becoming the new domain's guardian
"Cortana gets tentacle'd by the super gravemind" hahaha... the manga is already being drawn in my head!
