I don't know whether to be hopeful or concerned that I have heard nothing about halo 6 yet. I mean outside of what they said back in 2015. Basically all I know is that it's supposed to be more focused on the Master Chiefs story and it will have split screen for sure. Usually by now we would have seen some really vague trailer. Speaking of trailers, I don't know how I feel about having this as a Halo game but I'm sure I would have played the hell out of it if it came out. I never saw this trailer, I must have been under a rock at the time.
For me, I feel like the less info we get about Halo 6 until it gets closer to launch the more we can trust it to actually reflect what the actual game is like. In halo 5 we had a **** ton of trailers and hype that had nothing to do with anything in the game. remember #huntthetruth
Or they could actually ask the community for early general input and not make something we didn't ask for again. #breakout #newbreakout #reqs #limitedcustomization #badskins #redundantvisors #rimlighting #incorrectH1pistol #spartancharge Maybe we'll actually get those Elites, Brute Shot, and Falcon. Bonus points if they're in the game at launch.
I feel like that might be what they're thinking as well. I couldn't help but feel that in 343's minds they had imagined that ALL halo fans were into the fiction and were just going to run out and listen and read every bit of story content that was out there. All that info would sculpt some amazing imagery in our heads and then the game would bring it all into focus. They should have realized that wasn't going to happen when destiny took a bite in the ass with it's grimoire cards. Not that a month and a half was enough time to fix that mess. They probably also should not have had the slowest, worst spartan fight in history. Spartans have been genetically modified to be unbelievably strong and fast, and the Spartan armor allows the soldier to move as fast as they can think and punch things with incredible force. We get a fight between the baddest spartan around and the one who is apparently supposed to worthy of taking him down and it looks like this? True but then Halo has now spanned 15 years and their gamers are too diverse to be able to agree on what they want. The problem is that Halo 1,2,3 and even ODST followed one mentality. The introduction of reach started to alter that and then Halo 4 altered it in a way that was difficult to bring back. Halo 5 added mechanics that for good and bad will not be able to be ignored. The story with Cortana is salvageable but in a pretty cheap and obvious way. Basically you just make her program split and the Cortana you knew is hiding behind the scenes trying to help you while new crazy Cortana is rampaging. A cliche story isn't necessarily a bad story, it's all in how you tell it. Where I think the community should get a years worth of early input is in the new Forge. Maybe if we're lucky it can catch up to what Bungie had built for Halo 2.
Haha I just noticed Locke moving his head around with armor lock on. So are we to assume this super suit offers no neck support? Bashes through wall at top speed, breaks neck on entry. lol
I think the fact that we saw nothing at E3 2017 is a GOOD thing. It shows that they are taking a step back to re-evaluate things and hopefully, do the best that they can. HW2 is a pretty good example of this, in my opinion, with the return of classic looking elements and soon- the Flood.
I remembered the days when they asked the community in-game whether they liked Reach's bloom or not. What happened to those guys? I want those guys back.
