Probably the best looking Forerunner work I've seen from you so far. The star of the show here is the lighting. It's much more subdued than the bright obnoxious orange of the Promethean look. There are actually logical light sources in it to which are awesome. I do think there is much to be improved with the texture-work. The Forerunner texture is too reminiscent of the metal floor you see in mechanic's garages for me to buy the aesthetic your going for. The covenant texture works much better for Forerunner aesthetics from what I've seen. The other problem I see here is that a lot of the structure has really excessive and unorderly angles and shapes (a lot of that coming from the default structure pieces). Most forerunner architecture was really brutalistic in nature with mostly simpler and more solid/firm shapes. They can certainly have detail done to them but I think the excess angles here throws it off a bit. Good job man
Observation 1: Aside from a few Blips, my world remained largely unnoticeable. A heightened sense of hating teenagers and a bright bright destiny were the only things of note. Observation 2 incoming with twice as much in the sequel. Edit:it sucked. All I got was free dirt flavored ****all
Also @A 3 Legged Goat I got you a motivational poster. The top guy is a forger trying to get his map into matchmaking The bottom guy is you with a burdened heart And all the diamonds are halo aids and forge bugs It's ironically called "three feet from gold"
Is it possible to make a compatible interior chroma boxed segment, and exterior natural lighting segment?
yes. put the chromas in the walls of the structure. You may have to have layers of walls to pull off a convincing outside/inside look.
Sure, make the chroma box a really close shell around the interior section of the map. Like double layered ceiling and walls. A chroma box is just keeping the natural light from touching/affecting the pieces of a map so they can be lit by more controlled means of placed lights. Doesn't matter how close or far away the box is.
