I popped together this quicky, was going for an upgraded Halo 3 feel and with the 6-8 games i played on it i felt i achieved it. Feel free to test the map knowing it isn't a final product. Art wise,I like what you're doing, especially the last two images. Having said that, I would recommend dirtying it up a bit. Human/UNSC stuff in H3 was much more worn, grimy and industrial looking. A little more detail in your indoor section would go a long way. Look up concept art or even just walk around a few H3 multiplayer/campaign levels and try to replicate some of the visuals. Lighting wise, I would change those lights to a more off white, gold or even electric blue color. Pure white lights are kind of hard on the eyes. All that said, looks dope so far and good luck in the contest!
Looking good. Like the frigate. The lighting is a bit bland though change the color of the light. Use the absence of light to create atmosphere. Might want to use some more construction peices as well.
Those outside pics look great man but I agree with Weedcough on the inside pics. Like Crow's Nest on H3. Go for an old indoor vibe, more gritty and worn out.
Worked on it a little bit, appreciate the feedback, give me more if you got it. I think i fixed it up to what you were saying, unsure though. It is hard to put more on the ground because i feel the map would be too cluttered so i added more pipes and some wires. Got rid of the red and blue and changed it to a grimey yellow. I tried changing all of the walls to a minimal grime but it just didnt look good and didnt fit so hopefully this looks good now. As i said, give me more feedback if you got it. (New images below)
Updated it again after the Max Extra Forge Friday lobby tested it. Added a hover crouch jump from the outside to top mid, can also be accessed by a gravity lift in bottom mid. Moved damage boost to that spot. Removed SMG, added more spawns, moved around some walls to widen the hallways a little bit. Added more cover inside to make it so spawns didn't seem so broken.
