Chill Out is a terrible design. It has unique ramps, paths and teleporters compared to the traditional room based map but is otherwise dull and uneventful, especially in CE where all the fights amount to are nadefests. On that note, CE nukes are stupid Halo 2 is a bad game with bad maps that had really cool ideas on them. Weapon Balance doesn't exist. The Halo 3 Banshee was perfect, but Reach was the most fun to fly.
Halo 5 Forge and the maps made from it, while the tools are available to make them the most intrinsic and in-depth maps in the series, are the most visually unappealing in the series even when you spend a lot of time trying to make them look good. Something about Halo 5's Forge aesthetic is just off; maps that would've looked awesome back in 3, Reach and even 4 look...meh in 5.
When Halo 5 has so many options to create great maps yet people use this to make recruitment bases and assasination arenas. They need to UNINSTALL
Recharging shields are Halo's biggest problem, especially after health was removed and players were given the ability to run away.
Lining every block on your map with item boundaries doesn't make it look better, it looks awful please stop. There are a few uses for them that look great, but this new trend is ugly as hell.
That is probably the most popular opinion of all time within the forge community. However within the customs community that is sadly not an unpopular opinion, I got lectured about how clans are like the military.
my question is why make a spacey-shooter 2015 version of the actual military and its recruiting model/training regimes if you aren't going to do anything with them other than lord over younger or more awkward kids and 'farm credits' or the Achilles helmet? at least use the damn things to get good at competitive matchmaking instead of just locking people in 'questioning rooms', like what kind of ****ing stupid G.I. Joe x Barbie dollhouse fanfic is this??? and how has it survived for upwards of 7 years?!?! --- Double Post Merged, Aug 29, 2017 --- in fact, screw 'clan base' maps, just play on an octagon literally WHAT IS THE POINT
I knew this one kid who said he "trained" in the clan for a whole year. He had a negative k/d in every playlist, even in objective gamemodes he didn't even make it up with flag caps and zone captures. Here is my question, what the **** is going on within clan "training".
I made a clan map once back in Reach. Then never again. We had a sword and slightly Zelda-ish motif back then, so it was a bit more unique than vanilla UNSC stuff. I think it also had a zipline.
I want to die Do these kids treat halo like WoW or something? Wtf just play WoW, how do you launch a "surprise raid"
It's literally clan kids killing other clan kids on their clan maps. It ain't what you're thinking lol
Clan bases became irrelevant after the Falcon was dropped. No landing pad with a Falcon = Not a clan base.
Honestly Goat, I am confused by your statement. Isn't shields a unique key element of halo, and it's need to recharge at all one of the shields' strongest characteristics for game play balance? If it were not for shields there would not be halo. And if not for halo's futuristic theme there would be no shields.
