First 3 rounds were CLEARLY in mcgreggors favor but the judges thought otherwise. No mayweather fight is fair. I'm not saying connor was going to win because he probably wasn't, but you can't just stop a fight like that when the dude is still standing up claiming it's a knock out lol that doesn't make sense.
first 3 rounds DID go to mcgreggor, and the next 3 were may weather. But like I said, he kept throwing fists on the back of his head that aren't allowed, and they could've deducted points for that. literally at least 2 per round lol. I think they should've let him hit the ground too, but it's boxing, not MMA. there are a LOT more rules. There's just no way he would've won after that 9th round. May weather could've kept tiring him out for the 10th and 11th round and nailed the coffin on the last one. It was fair.
I've seen both of them fight before. Boxing calls matches earlier than UFC. Mcgreogor wasn't even blocking the last ten seconds. He was slowly moving his head and taking the majority of what Maywether threw to the face. Maywether, on the other hand, fought smart with the long game. Dude wasn't even tired. Mcgregor didn't stand a chance. I was upset about the call at first too, but the replay showed how done that fight was.
The replay made me even more mad that they called it that early. I don't care what was happening, you don't call a fight that big, that early, until someone hits the mat. He was still standing up. That is unless youre Mayweathers ref.
Wow I didn't know we had so many boxing experts. The fight was correctly called. Mcgregor was throwing wet noodle punches in the last round and was getting completely bombarded. The ref could've let it go maybe 10 seconds longer, but if you really think that conor had a chance then you weren't watching. Also, for what it's worth, the fight would be over in 10 second if it were MMA.
Like someone put it earlier, Vegas would've went bankrupt if Mayweather lost. I wouldn't be surprised if McGregor and Mayweather had an under the table agreement for Mayweather to win. I could be wrong, but I just don't see the outcome being any different. Ethier way, the fight wasn't anything other then a money grabbing trick.
I mean its not bad, it just is what it is... I was just wondering if anyone really thinks it was gonna be a fight with an unkown outcome? Fixing sporting events is unethical Imo but nobody's forced to bet, so thats why it's whatever to me.
Except you don't have any evidence to support that it was fixed Watching the fight, did you really think that mcgregor wasn't trying to win? --- Double Post Merged, Aug 27, 2017 --- "occasional off topic" is in the waywo rules. this is the only thread people look at anyways.
i cannot contain excitement i finally have a perfect map assuming i don't run out of pieces and break the engine but nobodoy cares cuz original xbox is discontinued.
Saying McGreggor was taking the majority of what Floyd was throwing is a bit of an over statement. You see the replay of the moments before he called it and Floyd through about 12 punches and landed (barely) only 2 of them. That's how Connor fights though when he's getting gassed, he's got his hands down and trying to dodge hits, then try to come back the next round. I knew Floyd would win but I wanted Connor to. I really agree with Salty though, it wouldn't be allowed for vegas to lose all that money. Also, to say Floyd won any of the 1st 3 rounds is just silly, even if points were deducted by the hammer fists to the head lol. --- Double Post Merged, Aug 27, 2017 --- You must be new here.
No one is saying connor wouldve won. I'm saying it was stupid how early it was called regardless of what you think the outcome was. And it's stupid how many rounds would've been given to mayweather, but hey that's boxing. I've watched mayweathers last 10 fights or so and they all end like that to some degree. And Connor has made bigger comebacks in that sort of condition.
Ya if only Manny went in on that jump shot 3/4 into the 6th inning he would have thrown Mayweather off and got that homerun moneyshot 8th inning defensive to offensive vertical shift was very impressive good move on manny. Manny is the unofficial winner of this MMA battle good man he is. I know everything about these sports you guys if you thing Mayweather stood a change going into the 10th round you are a fricking idiot.
I'm confused at how anyone can think it's okay to call thatfight as early as they did? It's the biggest fight in history of the ****ing planet. You let them go to the mat. Plain and simple. Half those punches didn't even land and most that did weren't even clean. Mcgregor was more tired than anything, that includes the wobbly legs. I'm not saying he wasn't rattled because he was, but mcgregor was not knocked out on his feet. He was instantly coherent as soon as the fight stopped. Watch Diaz 2 fight. Mcgregor gets like that when he's tired. He caught a 2nd wind in the Diaz fight after having a similar fight and ended up winning the fight bc of that. This is the biggest fight ever, let it be a war. --- Double Post Merged, Aug 27, 2017 --- I say fight a lot. Damn
