I think i have come up with another cool prototype for @icyhotspartin 's 1v1 prototype map, "Gorn", which is based on an original series Star Trek episode. In it the captain eventually creates a makeshift canon and fires some shrapnel at this stronger, reptilian like enemy while running around the desert rocks and ****. I think I may have stumbled upon what is a very simple dynamic that could add a new dimension of gameplay to this and perhaps other 1v1s. Picture this... (since what you see in the gameplay linked below is not the full scheme yet) The first of its kind (that I know of) "Shield knocker-outer" A ball sits in a predetermined location of the map, as a super-power-up. A player grabs uses it to place a trap in some nook or crannie of the desert rock terrain of the map. you either wait or attempt to bait your opponent into walking past the ball and tripping it's proximity. Alarm sounds for each player, letting them know what is coming. You can also throw the ball at your opponent. 9 12 seconds later, an explosion hits your opponent's head and knocks out their entire sheild, and usually some health, leaving them 1 shot. (9 sec because of a weird mechanical limitation with some Fx. think of it as a fuse) The shot can either be totally unavoidable, or slightly or perhaps fully avoidable based on how fast you move. (we can tweak and tune it) Ball resets at original location so either player can grab it. It would serve as not a new game mode, but adding a gameplay layer to regular gameplay. Imagine how players will retreat, push, and attempt to maneuver their opponents. Maybe awesome? Maybe totally mediocre? Maybe dumb?

cool! I am interested to see how this plays, so I will work on getting something tied to the ball and workable for actual dynamic play, and then send you a prefab to place down so ppl can test.
