You know what's funny is that there was a series of studies involving DMT and LSD that showed people experiencing a marked increase in creativity after taking it. Almost all of the subjects considered the trip to be in top 3 most important experiences in their life, too.
@Dweeb says working out increased his creativity. I haven't gone to the gym but I might start doing it and power forging afterwards to see what happens.
working out definitely helps clear your mind, so it's not really "increasing" creativity. You're just focusing more I think. The same thing happens when you eat well also did you know that dweeb is in the olympics?
I don't either lol, but the shape is really flexible and I'll probably revisit it sometime and try some cooler pathing.
@Dweeb @SaltyKoala This is how you do a dog corridor map https://vid.me/uuHJo bonus CTF map for BUNGLE https://vid.me/LLiDi For anyone who doesn't know, BUNGLE started as a Bungies april fools joke in Halo 3 and it turned into a cultish custom lobby of 16 players playing on the most demented maps possible.
Compared to his other stuff I really don't it's more just a joke at this point. I am a sucker for super simple **** tho
The funny thing I find about these deep level discussion with regards who is the better designer, is that we all know something that the others don't. Some of these arguments are silly. So what if someone only creates room based asymms, if that personally interests them, then it's on them. If another person thrives in creating the best environment that we ever laid our eyes upon, good for them. We all have our special interest and extraordinary talents. So let's not belittle the other person because you don't like the way they think or act in regards to their strengths and weaknesses when creating something. How about challenging them (without a condescending tone) to make something outside of their comfort zone? Hell, I know what my comfort zone is and that's inverse symms. I also know that I suck at making things look believable in game, but that doesn't make any less creative or less worth than anyone else in here. I know this isn't a perfect world, but I do believe that most of here COULD set our personal biases/differences aside to help build a stronger community here. The best creations that have ever been developed with forge has been derived from this community. How about we do the opposite of tearing someone and their creativity down for something that's more meaningful, like encouragement.
Curious... what piece is being used for those steps? An edge of a sanghelli pilllar? I personally love those pieces set to greys
I literally grabbed the 1st one off google but I've read a lot about this before. I'm in a rush at the moment so I'm not gonna search for a good one but you should read this and possibly look at others. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/4394310
Only one person here has made claims about another persons merit, but I'll entertain your "encouragement" idea anyways. Xzamples, I strongly encourage you to stop posting such idiotic crap all the time --- Double Post Merged, Aug 14, 2017 --- Yes I've seen the studies, but my point is that exercise has been shown to improve almost all brain function, which means that it's simply helping you unlock what is already there. That's essentially the same thing as increased focus.
I don't know if working out has made me more creative but I have done nothing but work out and play guitar lately and I've been happy. Week 8 of P90X3: https://imgur.com/gallery/jkQwV
I like to stuff my face with Thai food and sit down to forge Or I don't eat anything and then sit down to forge Or I just sit Works every time
It's the only thread... can't read anything constructive w/o getting into peoples' personal beefs... sheesh, so boring! On the other hand, I do love the FEW examples of "things people are actually working on" --- Double Post Merged, Aug 14, 2017 --- for gaming, you always want response time and framerate (144 if you can swing the price with that 1440p) Worry a bout color accuracy if you use it for desktop publishing mostly...
