I am going to say this one time and everyone can take it how ever they want. I WOULD NOT. I repeat DO NOT use any forge map from the 2v2 contest because to many people are butt hurt. I would use this as a opportunity to showcase NEW maps. Again NEW MAPS...Because people WILL BE BUTT HURT. I could update Hazard but simply put I really don't want to. I will if I have to but I will say this again....DO NOT use older maps.....USE NEW ONES.....BECAUSE PEOPLE WILL BE BUTT HURT. There is plenty of new GOOD maps and no reason not too use them. I like the idea of nominating maps personally. I have said my thoughts on this contest/tournament
Forge is the only real time collaborative FPS editor with an active community, and it just so happens to be managed by incompetent developers who can't even get a skybox to work correctly. How can someone say it's okay for the light to come from a completely different direction than the light source just because it's Forge? That's pure ineptitude considering it wasn't fixed for the 6 months they were doing Forge updates. Nobody has any ****ing standards anymore. Sad!
Because a large part of forge's appeal is how accessible it is. Knowing that, they probably overlook/don't concern themselves with the sun's position in the sky for each skybox. I'm not saying it's cool, I'm saying it's to be expected. The more sophisticated this editor becomes, the less people will be willing to approach it. That's why Trials has a "lite" editor version for beginners.
Was that Sarah Palmer? Was never a fan of hers, in fact I dislike her so much I don't even find that image attractive. As I said earlier, I think its a good idea to have variety in the map pool and want to create something that I think will resonate with a competitive audience as well introducing foreign concepts to them that will challenge them in different ways. Nemesis can be fast paced as the sightlines are open and power positions sit in the middle of the map. Nemesis was never meant to reinvent the wheel, it was inspired by some of the most iconic competitive maps because I like elements of traditional gameplay in addition to all of the creative things I normally do.

Nobody here said anything about Nemesis being "too traditional" Yes, it's boring, but it's just too simple and small for 2v2 and probably even 1v1. That's an obvious problem, and if you ignore that i'll just have to assume it's there because you want your own map in the lineup.
So, you wanting Storm Peaks in has nothing to do with you having a hand in creating it? Or all the other people that nominated their own creations?
