I actually did enjoy my games on Purple Reign. But, I could totally understand why some don't enjoy it.
I support creativity and experimentation 100% but I also want to create a map pool that can engage a competitive audience so I think having variety with the maps will only be a positive attribute. Even if that means fitting in experimental maps with non experimental maps. I don't want the barrier of entry to be so high on the map pool that it becomes too challenging to learn in a short amount of time. Also, the great thing about BattlePro is that it allows anyone to create their own tournament! So if you don't like the system of map pools or you think one of the maps should be replaced for something else, you can create your own tournament and have complete control over what maps are played. I know you may think that your tournaments will get less exposure if you host your own but I have long term goals to interlace BattlePro with ForgeHub in the future so the two sites communicate with each other better.
Hey, to follow suit with the current theme of this thread, I also have my 2v2 that was my 1st map in Halo 5 that hasn't been updated since before textures became a thing. Let's just throw that in there too! It's asym and has a sniper/rocket combo so it's super pro guaranteed.
Add in Generic UNSC #2048 by King Kantalope while you're at it. Great map by the most accomplished forger. I'll get screenshots
