Here's a list of good options: Aerocrest Ace Devotion Long Synthesis Chron Bliss Limey Architect Demp Nova Slap Majestic Karb Mystic Slap Twice Forsaken Schnit Fullmetal Demp Gridwalk Soul Cepheus Blaze High Garden Canad
How could I forget about Aerocrest? I like that one too. I'd like to keep Nemesis in the pool because its follows traditional arena style gameplay similar to Onslaught or Midship. So its nice to have a baseline that new players can acclimate to easily in a short period of time. Hazard is a classic and one of the finest 2v2 maps created. It won 1st place in a 2v2 contest when Halo's population was at its highest. Its a tough call, maybe we could switch out Storm Peaks or Highguard for Aerocrest. Any preferences on that? Otherwise I think we have a solid pool set for our first tourney.
Hazard had horrible, horrible camping issues in SMG room. Which also happened to have an SMG spawning in it. Are we here to watch players camp in one room?
Throw in Genome. We need a generic slow paced room map in the poolio. Not a lot of people have played it for sure, but of all the people that have played it everyone enjoyed it.
I'm starting to think that we have enough maps to create two different pools for 2v2. We could create rotational tournaments using different map pools. Would be more enjoyable to participate in as well because the content would change from month to month. Pool A: Arcanum, Hazard, Highguard, Nemesis, Storm Peaks Pool B: Aerocrest, Oblivion, (something by goat), Genome, etc... What maps should we put in Pool B?
my map my map my map my map is my preference : ))))))))))))))))))) just gimme a CHANCE I swear it's worth your while ;J in other news I got a new layout for you all - slightly less ambitious with crazy pathing than the last one, but still something that I can wonk around with artistically, that might expose the average 9 yearold halokid to some principled design virtues while maintaining the customary halo 5 slogg.. who knows!
Whats your map? Sketchy final? We're having a community fav vote next month, hopefully it does well. If there's enough community interest I'll consider it for future tournaments. I haven't played 2v2's on many Extermination maps but I'm assuming that there are some that would work out really well. We should consider those too. If Pool A works out without any problems (software wise), I promise to host Pool B the following month.
I'm gonna go ahead and make the assumption that every single Extermination map ever made would play dog 2's
currently it's going by the name "duggydoo" or "terpp", so still a WIP for all intents and purposes, I have a lot of work to do on that but yeah, Sketchy Final is the non-exterm scripted version that is technically "playable" and "final" - as sketchy as it is either way, here's that new layout - surprise surprise, there are some familiar elements in here scratch that, wifi is not letting me upload images
Nemesis isn't a 2v2 map and would be spawn kill simulator, while hazard has obvious baseline balancing issues
