It's just been so slow at work the last couple days so I just come here and talk **** ahahahah sorry guys.
On that note, I posted this in that thread from a few weeks ago, but I'll just reiterate: Sprint - 100% not expecting this to go anywhere but it's fine if weapon readiness is instant and the movement delta is small. Shield mechanic is stupid, let people run away and buff the kill times. Slide - let people shoot while they slide Spartan Charge - ruins CQB. Get rid of it Ground Pound - ruins vertical combat. Make it instant, take away aiming and let people cancel it mid air. Thrust - ruins weapon magnetism, explosions, vehicles, chokepoints and strafe speed. Get rid of it Stabilize - change the button or get rid of it Clamber - its impossible to change this without making it less intuitive. getting rid of thrust and charge will fix ADS - get that **** out of halo expecing none of this to happen for halo 6. Theyll add two more abilities and our controllers will fall apart. thrust and sprint are still redundant to faster movement and strafe but i think i'd rather have people sprinting to get to battle faster than hugging doors and thrusting away. despite thruster being more "fun" to use it just devalues doors and grenades
Titanfall 2 has the best slide I've seen in gaming yet, UT4's is good as well. Halos and Block Ops slide is garb.
When I joke about LargerFiend, it's not out of malice. I honestly respect the guy a little bit after arguing with someone as intellectually sporadic as xzamples. It's one thing to be stubborn, but another thing to jump through hoops just so absolutely no ground is gained in the conversation. He wouldn't even agree with multi that we all want good maps, lmao. It's like agreeing on ANYTHING is somehow a defeat, and whenever we'd get close I'd just get hit with that swift "well that's your opinion" like WHY EVEN ARGUE if that's your last line of defense ahahaha Also, LargerFiend actually forges cool ****. #MicDrop --- Double Post Merged, Jul 6, 2017 --- MOMENTUM BASED MELEE MECHANICS BABEEEEEEEEEEEE
@Xandrith I never said we don't both want good maps. I said what a good map entails means something different to both of us. I'm not trying to be difficult, just honest. Will there be maps that we both think are good? Yes. Like Twice Forsaken off the top of my head. But, our reasons we both believe it's a good map won't be the exact same.
It is but people wanna be sensitive now Okay you can stop talking about this now you've already chased your tail for like 10 pages trying to explain your ridiculous 'subjectivity' no one wants to discuss this nonsense with you anymore
If everything has value then nothing has value at all I'm partial to ACDC's fly on the wall album Here are some (*edit* one) ###inspo shots I took today
Holy **** man do we need to have this conversation again or do you want to actually admit you're wrong. We both want good maps. We both want maps that hold up at the highest level of play. I want maps that someone actually designed themselves and not copied. It's fine, you're bias towards boring as **** maps and hate anything that requires an iota of thought. We get it, I really don't want to do this again.
I'm going to have a brutally honest moment with you for one second: Do you honestly think your maps would support high-level competitive play?
