I don't disagree that people should pay for their own well being, but what are we actually paying for? Why are the prices for healthcare what they are? Is the people's health really in the interest of big pharma and the industries that make profit off the sick?
If you want to play it safe just go in on: Starbucks - every coffee drinker needs their morning fix, every teenage girl needs to brag on Instagram. Profit margins are good because half your drink is ice. I think it’s like the 3rd biggest chain now and they haven’t been around long at all. Google - they have always been good. Consistent growth, they own everything. Amazon - Also consistent growth, promising future. It’s just too good now for any smaller company to realistically compete with it. Apple - no matter how bad they **** up, people still buy their products. They are basically immune from failure. If you want to get riskier you can go in on AMD (NVDA is also good, just a bit less risk). They always manage to crush earnings so I’m betting it will break 15 in this next month. I got in at 1.5 two years ago. The most you can get from TANF is like 8,000 dollars a year... Nobody is buying a Cadillac with 30'' rims with that type of money. This is basically just a right-wing strawman that has 0 basis in our reality. Also, people are not going to the hospital because they want to suck up tax payer dollars, they have something wrong with them --completely out of their control for the majority of cases-- and need assistance. Apples and oranges. What about poor old Margret the 56 year old type-1 diabetic who has no family left and is unemployed? Should we just start euthanizing these people because taking out a fraction of a percentage point in taxes of our income is to traumatizing? Yes paying taxes sucks **** and nobody likes doing it. I just think what we get is worth it. You removed it but I’m still going to respond cuz' I ain't no ***** The Republicans healthcare bill was voluntarily shitty. For the last decade Republicans have heavily criticized Obamacare, with most Republicans saying they could construct a better one. So, the truth is that they don’t want any sort of _____care at all. What they are doing is creating this dog **** that will get rejected leaving nothing in Obamacare’s place. Profit. So why did they even construct Trumpcare/Republicancare in the first place? Because for the past 9 years they have been screaming about how they could make one sooo much better than Obama. This isnt something they could just go back on. Side note: the Repubicans got Clinton impeached because he was getting head from his side hoe. The reason Dems are mad about the ***** thing is because Republicans just slid that one under the rug because Trumps on their side.
That's because every time you think you understand the lighting engine it suddenly develops a mind of it's own and ****s everything up. There is a serious lack of control and lack of features in the lighting system.
Maybe i should of left it there so you could of reread it a few times since it seems it totally went over your head. BTW i began to write a lengthy response and then realized it was a largerfiend opinion i was replying to. eyyyyy lmao
Do we need a safety net for the least fortunate among us? Absolutely. Not everyone can be an engineer and the economy is absolute **** for unskilled labor in the county. That being said--mandated insurance is not the answer and is not solving the problem of healthcare access. Obamacare as it is currently implemented is terrible. We as a nation need to stop equating health insurance with healthcare. Insurance is a middle man, and our broken system has more than one. Insurance, employers, and government all stand between us and our doctors. No surprise it's so damn expensive. While we are on the topic of insurance access though--what does Obamacare actually do for service and retail workers (the people I imagine it's supposed to help). Just about nothing. All it's doing is cutting their hours and forcing them to pick up second or third jobs because employers want to avoid their mandates--which means keeping employees below 25 hours a week. And then you still can't afford insurance--or maybe your young and just don't want it--as here comes the one-two punch of the individual mandate. What a joke.
Privatized Healthcare breeds competition, and competition drives down prices. This rings true for quite literally every business in a Capitalistic society, and there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that anything else would take place if Government stepped out of Healthcare.
The Republicans are the dumbest pile of people to ever exist on this planet. [Insert cool GIF here] @Nitro Why did you guys cap the upload size to under 2 MB? Some GIFs for example that worked before now cause an error...
Who TF said anything about TANF? I pay my taxes but what pisses me off is if I chose not to have expensive ass insurance (which gets more expensive every year since Obamacare was released) and I get penalized in my tax refund for each person in my family who isn't insured. How TF is that ok?! Now because all these bitches want free healthcare I have to pay penalties if I don't want insurance? F**k you! Idgaf how much these people get on TANF, I see what I described in my 1st post on a daily basis. Bunch of scrubs that don't want to work but want handouts like food stamps or WIC, meanwhile selling drugs out of their house avoiding taxes, living in a HUD house but driving said Cadillac Escalade with 30" rims and 15" speakers and cashing in on welfare and food stamps. Worthless human beings. Don't tell me I have 0 basis in our reality. Do you work? Idk how old you are but I've been working since I was 15. That means after 9th grade there was no more summer break sleeping in feeding off mommies tit. I've paid my taxes ever since while watching these slackers, wanna be gangsters, and thugs and white trash, brown trash, black trash, illegals and such take advantage of all the free **** our country will give while not even trying to work for their money. --- Double Post Merged, Jun 27, 2017 --- Everyone's a democrat until they make some money.
Over the last 50 years, the US Government has spent over 22 trillion dollars in taxpayer money in anti-poverty programs with almost no effect. That's 3 times what we've spent on every war combined since the American Revolution. Anyone who still genuinely believes that we need to look to our Government to solve all problems is either willfully ignorant of history or is just completely uninformed.
