what are you trying to get at? seems more like a rant that a purposeful argument meant to persuade something. are you saying that people who do nothing but lie and backstab their whole carrier to get to the top don't want to go down with the ship? is this against people with a certain idealism or those who sell it? are you looking for dopamine revenue or a intellectual debate?
All of the above - dopamine revenue is inevitable in a forum with visible 'likes' or 'shares', it's not what I'm after. I'm simply tired of the asinine argument that Trump is incompetent and/or stupid when there is more than enough evidence to suggest that he's got a lot on his plate, to the point where all he can do is take the US out of non-binding agreements and make executive orders in the hopes that the people he's supposed to have as support will help him. The president has next to no power as a part of the government, and it shows with Trump. I can't say that I know what the next 4 years will bring but I can sure as hell say that assuming incompetence is not an option, nor is it intellectually honest.
as president of the united states you should be able to handle a lot of things on your plate. that seems naive to say and i'm sure you figured out this argument is simple and im just attacking something thats attackable. The thing is, is that he handles things in a way that is bad in quality not quantity. The amount of stuff that he has decieded to take part in have not been good, he is picking bad things to accomplish and doing them in a bad way. Wh --- Double Post Merged, Jun 12, 2017 --- we need more education, instead he builds a wall. We need space and technology research he invests time money and effort into oil. the world is notably changing and he invites others ignore it. --- Double Post Merged, Jun 12, 2017 --- we are not assuming incompetence to give the people what they need he has already shown it
wtf not even Secular Talk talked about this Evergreen State shitstorm. I know that Philip DeFranco has, but, friccin heck, my dudes. Liberals have gone down the shitter since WWII.
I'm not claiming that "having a lot on his plate" is the problem, (I agree that) it's the quality of the things on his plate, but it's the effectiveness of the tools he has at his disposal to deal with them that is important. The way I'd illustrate it is that Trump is only allowed a spoon and is being asked to tackle a 76oz steak, 3 baked potatoes, asparagus, soup, and ice cream - he's only going to be able to deal with this if someone else can cut the steak for him, which is congress' job, and they aren't helping. More importantly, what do you mean by "what the people need"? Are you advocating wealth/resource transfers, positive rights/claims against another? Or a negative rights/claims against others? What rights do we have, and what do you think is the function of government, basically? Otherwise we can't have ever agree on anything.
"I'm not claiming that "having a lot on his plate" is the problem, (I agree that) it's the quality of the things on his plate, but it's the effectiveness of the tools he has at his disposal to deal with them that is important." you literally brought it right back to not being able to deal with things in a timely manner. now on to the more "important" question, you asked the question, "what the people need" meant. Well, i was stating my argument for what i believe the people need and what he was giving them instead. The quality of his decisions is hampered by him not giving the people what I believe and what most of america believes to be correct in the face of necessity. What functions the government should be doing in respect of what is needed must have been to ambiguously posted above and it was that we need our government to advocate and provide more services in the education department, not for something like homeland security. So yes a transfer of some wealth from the recently over budgeted department of homeland security to something in the likes of education. education will lose 9 billion in revenue from the government and homeland gains 3 billion in the proposed plan for 2018 baseline brought up from trump. We need to pull money out of big businesses involving oil and put that money into research and development of new technologies and science. i could pull up facts from that as well to see the comparison. These are things that I believe the people in government need to act on and start involving their time and money with. now thats what i meant if you would like a lesson on how government works or the amendments and bill of rights then i can tell you. Im not trying to argue knowledge over the functions of government just what one person in our government is doing wrong. Sidenote - We will never agree on anything only when one or both persons in context change their philosophy of their argument will the argument itself close.
To counter this- I'm one of those 325 million. I would've voted for Trump over Hillary in a heartbeat, but can't vote I'm Russian. --- Double Post Merged, Jun 12, 2017 ---
I don't know what you meant by this, to be honest. Are you advocating pure democracy? Mob rule? You didn't answer re. positive or negative claims, and re. the proper function of government it seems like it should be based on "giving the people what I believe and what most of america believes to be correct in the face of necessity". What is necessity? This is simply a restatement of "give the people what they need". What do they need? Is what they need within the bounds of proper governance? Is it even reasonable? This is basically gibberish. Re. the first quote, I did not make it about the timeliness of the completion of the tasks, I explicitly made it about how impossible the people that are supposed to help him have made it for him to accomplish anything in his mandate given the rules and tools of the game. If Captain Kirk had to deal with (basically) a mutiny, an ineffective bridge crew, and an engine overload at the same time, while only using a communicator to deal with it while stranded in a shuttlecraft, I don't think his ability to deal with difficult situations would be the biggest issue.
to continue on that hilarious analogy the mutiny and his first mates so to speak being noncompliant is not due to them its due to trump. He has gone off the charts on doing not what the people need or want causing the mutiny, causing the overload, and making allies that will abandon us and leaving certain agreements with those that will help our drowning ship. You think all the people that he stands up for will help, and all those that are noncompliant will happily say yeah go ahead and ruin our country. do you seriously think none of this is on him as a leader and its on those who don't agree with him. Everything that stands in his way is because he would be a ****ing dictator if they didn't. already he has one of the lowest approval ratings of this democracy. by using his powers to fail. He cant get by these things that you analogized because nobody finds him adequate enough to make decisions or the decisions themselves are inadequately thought out. another sidenote - you are right his ability to deal with difficult situations is not the biggest issue. He doesn't seem to be able to make those, but when it comes to regular decisions the ones he has made- he has managed to light everything on fire and put his ***** in it. last side note most likely - i am extremely high and was just watching how to train you dragon 1 and 2, so if you cant understand me its due to such a difference in our levels of intellectual capabilities or that i am to high probably a mixture of both.
