No I was just trolling. I'll take the bait though because obviously your opinion changed from what you said earlier. Your selective reading skill is very high as well based on the fact that is what you got from that info. You guys have been saying she has a low skill ceiling which implies she is easy to play. Now you are saying she is hard to play? No my point was that she has some of the highest burst damage in the game but according to you two she has a low skill ceiling. These two things combined would suggest everyone would play her just like when Bastion was broken and everyone played Bastion because there isn't much of a learning curve to him and his damage output is insane or when Ana's nano boost gave speed boost, so everyone was playing Reaper. Same thing with Dva when she could do whatever she wants because the majority of her 600 health pool was armor. That was the point I was making. When heroes have lower skill ceilings people play the **** out of them and try hards in competitive do the same thing. For example: Mercy and Soldier are both very strong right now and not that difficult to play. They both are seeing high usage in competitive.
Once again, tracer does not take mechanical skill. Everything about her is positioning and keeping a dash up. It's just conversation. Explain to me the difference between tracer and enabling fast thrust cooldown in Halo 5, giving that person an SMG, and reducing their health to half. Is halo 5 suddenly skillful? No. Do you have to think about your position a little more? Sure.
That's assuming that Tracer has the same ridiculous range as the SMG. Maybe I'm just unfamiliar with OW on console, but I assume that Tracer has less magnetism/auto-aim than the H5 SMG.
She can only hit max damage at basically the same range as reaper and there is less magnetism. Once you are out of that range the best way to maximize damage a lot of the time is to wiggle your cross hair while you are still tracking them to get as much of the spread as possible to hit the target. Unless it is a tank. Tanks are crops for Tracers and they are going to farm them.
It's the principle of it. Dash in to point blank range, spray, dash out. Does she have a fixed spray pattern that wiggling the thumbstick would take advantage of? If so I'll take everything back I said
Can we break from the Overwatch discussion for a sec? I have something new and I need some help. So I'm making a linear infection map set in an arcade pizza place in the same vein as Chuck E Cheese's. It's owned by Mr. Happy, the creeping business tycoon responsible for the grossly under managed and dangerous Happy Land parks. There's a few other references to Freakshow, making this kind of a spin-off. The survivors will be separated, half in the arcade/billiards side and half on the dining room/bar side. After holding out for certain periods of time, doors will open, and the survivors will meet in the middle (the bowling alley). The exit is blocked by a gate, but it's broken. Two survivors must then scavenge the map for glowing mechanical bits to fix it. Once each bit has been located, they must return to the gate, one bit at a time. This will create a scary scenario where two people are fighting waves of the undead in a claustrophobic space, and two must avoid the undead to find the pieces. When all 4 pieces have been located the gate will rise and the survivors have to do one last push and holdout in the pick up location for maybe a minute. The map is complete. The problem is I have no idea how to do the scripting that would allow this game type to work. If anyone is really good at scripting, likes the idea or just has a game play idea for the map I'd love to hear it EDIT: here's a few more pics P.S Dunco I used your guitar prefab lol
@WeedCough Good job with the layout and aesthetics. I barely glanced at the photo without reading and immediately knew what it was. Just a thought, have you tried going with a solid floor near the bowling lanes to make them stand out more? Or maybe darker wood flooring or lighter wood lanes? Similar idea for the Dance Dance machine and floor. Or you could try putting bit of solid ground under the machine that sticks out about a foot to separate the two metals more.
Yeah I see what your saying, I'll definitely play with the colors a bit more on the lanes and fix up the DDR machine
