As a lot of you have probably realized, I've never used forge as an artistic outlet. My maps have always looked pretty bland as a result, but I've forced myself to actually experiment with lights and geometry with Kingsbane. I always knew I could do this well if I tried. I'm coming for you, Oblivion.
Red base Blue base Under red to bottom mid Side view of blue walkways Red window and cranny Scatter spawn looking to blue and mid Vent room Coming to a bookmark near you! Colors are nowhere near final, shoot me some sage suggestions
Maybe the color could be too beneficial to red team? But then again maybe not. Everyone glows in this game anyway.
The final version is going to have an asymmetric ice explosion that melts during the match. I do think it'll be better to tone it down anyway, I want more gold
how the hell is that supposed to work, timed spawns that reduces ice rocks with steam and a decal tricked puddle? how is your object count??
Thanks man! Haven't been on Halo in weeks unfortunately to finish it up and post it. Have you gotten to play on it?
Nah...I can't enjoy H5 anymore but I do check maps out now and then. Just to see the forging and stuff.
I have timers cascading in frequency to recreate the slowly speeding up melt. All the pieces are set to local movement so I can tailor which way they will shift. I'm gonna have 2 events timed with the steam you mentioned for "quick thaws" to reveal weapons under the ice (which is kinda like static timers!) it's still kinda buggy with the movement/rotate glitch, but I'm thinking with enough land mass it won't even be noticeable
Microsoft should stop making consoles after this gen. Their first party lineup is terrible and you know Scorpio is going to be sold at a loss - and still overpriced - to give consumers the specs that should have launched with the base console.
It's kinda funny that Sony has lost it's lead in the racing simulator market. Gran Turismo has become less and less what consumers want due to the loss in the yesteryear generation of racing sim gamers. The late 90's and early 2000's allowed GT to flourish with the great popularity of bebop jazz in the hill climb/drifting communities and animes like Initial D with their lasting influence on Japanese culture, but the the audience for GT back then has long gone from gaming; the younger ones are now spending their hard earned money on real street rods, and the older ones are mostly raising families, so they simply don't have enough time to play. Also, Forza has a far deeper, and better imo, gameplay experience both with the settings and in the driver's seat, so the hardcore racing gamers are seeing Forza be the new great mainstream driving/racing sim. Sucks to see THE game that I had grow up with go away, but, thankfully, that was half a decade ago.
