Overwatch sucks I'm not being sarcastic either. The game has no replay value for me. All of the maps play the same, I hate 95% of the skins and all of the PvP modes are boring to me, especially as a solo queuer waiting 3-5 minutes for a match only to not get to play the characters i want or not have a good team. I logged on every day to play Uprising even though it was extremely repetitive and now it's nowhere to be found, presumably to be brought back later with more maps. Ever since then however, it's highlighted how much i've fallen out of love with the core of the game. Granted i've never been able to play more than 5 matches solo or in a party without getting bored, but now that feeling is multiplied.
I agree with much of what goat says about overwatch. What I like about it is that it demonstrates how drop on shot is not so popular (along with destiny). What I hate the most is how freaking ass noisy the announcers are, how there are different voices, and way too many dramatically different characters with dramatically different abilities.
The new versions of 3v3 and 1v1 are pretty cool considering that they add more thought into character choices. 1v1 now has a selection between 3 random heroes (both players have the same pool of 3) which introduces predicting enemy picks. 3v3 has a feature to where the heroes used in a round win are removed from play for the round winning team. I'd say just play different heroes and have a good time I mainly play McCree, Widowmaker, Winston/Zarya, Ana/Zenyatta, but I flex to Pharah and Lucio quite a bit, too. Unfortunately we can't play together because, well, I play on PC. Edit: THE NEW GENJI SKIN IS LITERALLY A POWER RANGER! SUPER SENTAI ARE THE OG PRS! WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE!?
That's the gist of it Naw, it's a sequel to my infection map Freakshow, one of my earliest completed maps in H5 that somehow made it to matchmaking. I love the carnival theme (although to be fair this draws more inspiration from actual theme parks than the OG did) but the gameplay was always pretty poor. Was not happy with the final results, so I've been slowly trying to design a better playing map, all while perfecting and pushing the theme. It's still a donut. Just a better one.
Because talking about games you bought and played on a video game forum is strange unless you play them nonstop and enjoy every single minute of them. Faggots.
That is the whole point of Class-based design. Part of the strategy in a well-designed class-based game, is finding the right composition based on how your team synergizes together. What you seem to be looking for is something like CoD, where your 'class' is based on superficial perks, like aiming down your sight faster.
Ah, no. Classless is what I want. But you do bring up a good point. I could tolerate minimal class differences more easily. --- Double Post Merged, May 23, 2017 --- Really? Is it that obscure? Within 100 years everyone here will be face to face with their maker and it will no longer be "unproven".
is this from the Marxist's guide to game design ? also here's a messy version of the layout I posted earlier
So you can get to rocket room on arkanum by jumping on the chains.... http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/SoldatDuChrist/video/31553378 I think it should stay in, realy hard to do, takes alot of skill
