I've already explained my initial purpose for posting in a reply to dunco. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that race alone has anything to do with poverty. In fact, there is a ton of evidence to suggest otherwise, like the single-motherhood example I gave. Poverty has nothing to do with race and everything to do with culture. I want you to explain to me why black kids aren't graduating highschool. Explain to me why black kids are shooting each other at rates significantly higher than whites. Explain to me why 13% of the population is responsible for 50% of the murder in America. Explain to me why the number of black kids in prison is staggeringly high, and not for just getting pulled over and thrown in prison. If it's actually just race and not culture, then explain to me why the single motherhood rate in the black community has jumped from 20% to 70% in the same course of time that the civil rights movement has made such tremendous strides. Is America more racist now than it was in 1960? Because that is the only explanation for these statistics if you're actually going to blame any sort of behavior on race.
I'm pretty sure the levels of racism in America have remained the same since the 60s. The only thing that's really changed lately is some are under the impression that expressing their racism is justified

Are you joking? That is such an obviously ridiculous claim that I don't even know what to say, but I'll say stuff anyways. Not only is your claim completely false in terms of legislature, but the average persons worldview in America has changed drastically since the 60's. This is demonstrably true. Oh wow It must be wrong then. He says it better than I ever could, which is why I "regurgitated" it. This isn't about me, his arguments are sound and well spoken, and I can say from experience that posting a video usually just gives people like you something to ride like saying "oh wow you can't even argue for yourself" which is why I avoided it. Your attempts to somehow discredit these arguments by discrediting me, even after realizing that some of these arguments aren't my own, is hilariously ironic. You can go after Ben Shapiro now if you want to look right, little man.
I've read almost every word of this thread for a few years now. I like seeing and get inspiration from the maps posted here but I also learn from both the maps and the discussions. I love to learn and something I wasn't grasping finally clicked about 10 to 15 pages ago. So thank you guys for taking time to discuss things, even though I'm sure you've said it dozens of times before and are sick of repeating yourselves. I just wish there wasn't so much animosity surrounding it all, it becomes a very hard read some times.

What does it matter who says it, reasoning is the same no matter who's mouth it comes from. Ben just has a good way of verbalizing arguments, nothing wrong with that
I said "racial reasons". There is a strong correlation between race and culture. They are intertwined aspects. In America there is def an ignorant, lazy, self defeating African American culture that was bred due to the trickle down effects of slavery. It is a consequence of slavery and now America, Americans and those of African descant living in that culture suffer the consequences as well. What RACE did America choose to enslave? It most certainty is a "race" issue as race and culture are inseparable concepts. How can you not see that?

You can think that race and culture are connected, that's fine and I probably agree with that. However, to say that someone is inherently disadvantaged only because of the pigment in their skin is absolute nonsense. Also, this has nothing to do with slavery. Show me one lick of evidence that suggests causation and I'll jump off the arch
I suppose it wasn't that something wasn't being understood, but more a realization of a point of view I hadn't considered before. And I'm all for an argument, its a great way to learn! Pretty pictures are enticing. But if you spill some MSPaint all over them with arrows and highlights explaining your reasons and intentions, teach us what your thinking, maybe I'll share. It's not going to live up to that hype
