I like that there's actually people that are actively interested in other games, or subjects altogether. Their politics thread is always moving, fitness thread, just other game discussion in general. Plus I like their rep system.
Yeah, I like it too. I virtually never use the neg rep (dislike), but it's nice to have. I wish it was available here so I could downvote stupid posts.
Look. I liked forgehub because I could talk freely here with people of similar interests. This site does very little in the way of marketing maps if we're being honest. I had 40 bookmarks on Arcanum 2 weeks after posting it, bumping it to the top of the map page twice, front page on r/halo, and my YouTube video with more views then there are on the thread here. That's 40 bookmarks between all of that, and I realized when I was banned for those 2 days that this site isn't for me as for as publicizing my work anymore. For other people I'm sure it's great but seeing as how a pokephile feature is good for 500 - 2000 guaranteed bookmarks, a forgehub feature a much smaller fraction of that. I enjoyed talking maps with a decent size group of people here but most of that group I talk to regularly over chat and Xbox anyways, which leaves most of my interaction here with people I DON'T agree with, as I'm sure is apparent. Basically, if this forum is going to be annoyingly moderated I don't have any reason to be here. My halo fill is at Beyond and my map fill is coming from work. And there's no lulz here anymore. --- Double Post Merged, May 15, 2017 --- I use it so much lmao
I was just agreeing that parties involved should have been perma banned. Nothing else really. Yes I am saying I should have been perma banned. I don't want to get into anymore of that discussion however. --- Double Post Merged, May 15, 2017 --- I actually like their Overwatch thread quite a bit. When it is active. Which is more often than the deadship I try to keep a float here.
I assume other people noticed that Quinn got promoted? I'm kind of happy he's not directly making multiplayer decisions now. The changes made to the game since he's transitioned out of that position have improved the game quite a bit. Why am I still holding out hope that Halo will return to classic gameplay at some point... There's absolutely no reason to believe it, but I keep deluding myself into a state of hope.
well, there is a classic settings playlist on the way- that's probably as close as we'll get though --- Double Post Merged, May 16, 2017 --- No offense to you or No god anywhere, but I've seen a much more authentic remake a while back. **** I don't even know where to begin to try and find it though
Yeah, and that's great (not even being sarcastic). I'm glad they recognize that there's some demand for classic settings. I have very little hope that I'll personally enjoy the settings though, mostly because the aiming in this game feels terrible. Plus, historically classic settings don't play well in games unless it's the core experience. Changing a few settings to make it similar to classic settings has usually resulted in an experience that feels almost like classic Halo. Almost isn't good enough for me. --- Double Post Merged, May 16, 2017 --- Yeah, I really need to just let it go and move on. Aside from H2A (F the haters ), I haven't really enjoyed a Halo game since Halo 2. That was like 13 years ago.
Who knows. First BF1, and now COD is going 'boots on the ground'. Maybe they'll pull a fast one out of the hat and have Halo 6 go after that 'classic' trend that seems to be returning? I'm doubtful but anything is possible. I'm not a part of the group the believes we're getting a H3A but at the very least that would have filled the void
I feel like im the only one who likes the new movement mechanics.. I hope they dont remove them entirely in Halo 6.
There's actually footage of early Halo 5 development and they had double jump, but they replaced it with clamber. One of the stupidest ****ing decisions ever.
