Now that I gave it a second look I understand. Nice Blood Gulch remake.

Haha...yeah, I can't tell whats happening with the vertical space or pathways that much without seeing it in 3D or being in your head. Looking forward to the pics

It's either structures surrounding an open platform over an abyss like Guardian, or it's a room-based map with a ton of negative space. I'll just wait and see.

 

Looks like the middle is kind of a tower with ramps going around it.

 

It could be a tower, or it could be a platform that has a connection from top mid to bottom.

A tower would be a significant change from Guardian, but there's a reason Guardian is open like that. You're talking about increasing time before interactions significantly.

The circles are supposed to be towers, but the "middle" tower, along with the rest of the map, would be very hard to describe in words as it doesn't really fall into any category or style of map. This makes me want to post a picture... but I think I need to wait until I have most of the final version built.

Catacomb 1.5 is now "Pillar" and has new atmosphere, lighting, and spawns. Still not 100% done, but if anyone wants to playtest it in Slayer/Extermination, I'll be around later tonight...

Here's what I want my map to look like. It'll be chroma-boxed, so I won't be able to have this cool of a skybox, but the lighting should be similar.



Also, the moderation on this website is hilariously intolerant. If you actually think that we are somehow hurting forgehub with fair staff criticism and harmless jokes, then why just delete everything? Give your reasoning. If you delete this post (like the last 5) even though it is ON TOPIC, that just proves to me that you are deleting posts because it is easier to silence than it is to actually face your own bigotry. The truly sad part is that you've stopped givings reasons for deletion. You just keep getting rid of our messages in hope that they won't be seen. Don't think you are going to conceal thoughts by concealing evidence that they ever existed.
