@icyhotspartin Well Single Life Bomb gametypes are a proven success in multiple games. Call of Duty and Counter Strike are common ones most people know. For it to work in Halo you for sure need normal shields. unlike Breakout at launch( I think breakout now is full shields. Correct me if I am wrong.) I like One Neutral Bomb In Halo personally for 1 Life but a attack and defend is for sure more popular in GENERAL. If you where to do a Attack and Defend in Halo. I think if it was done more like Shadowrun from xbox 360 that it would work also. Where you spawn with the Artifact/Bomb and the person carrying the bomb cant shoot unlike CS or COD. There was a lot of great design space for breakout but they just simply dropped the ball. But maybe working on a new single life gametype now with the custom option maybe could influence the future halos
To hop in on the one-life mode stuff, I think the way both TF2 games did their elimination modes would be well suited to Halo as it currently exists. Team Fortress has a single capture point in the middle that opens up after about a minute into the round. Whomever captures this point first wins, but it takes a while to convert it to your team's color. That game also rewards first blood with crits for a while, but I don't think that specific reward would be fesable or possible in Halo 5. Titanfall 2 works much differently; there is a central flag that gives a point to whatever team is possessing it when the timer runs out wins. On another note, full shields for a mode like this is necessary, but I like having a very limited-ammo Shotgun that they added to the current version of Breakout. It allows for actual comebacks when you have less players and I feel it's necessary as long as no damage is permanent. If you want to go the Extermination route and respawn players, make it so that you have to actively go out and save them instead of hiding in a corner. Extraction was the best and only good 2v2 Obj mode.
Speaking of Extermination, I touched up that map I posted a couple days ago. Link is at bottom (Chapel, on Tidal canvas). I'm at work now so I can't check, but I was wondering if anyone knows if someone has built accurate prefabs from reach?
Not to sound condescending, but why would anyone do that? EDIT: Just so I don't come off as a ****, you mean the Forge pieces, right?
Yes the forge prefab pieces. The reason is so that I can rebuild a level on the quick and fuss with it later if I get the time and urge.
