Hello everyone, Last week I had the privilege of playing a new map by @MultiLockOn called Arcanum. He's worked with several ForgeHub community members to bring an interesting twist towards standard 2v2 Team Slayer. The map in itself was beautifully crafted and gameplay was really solid, but what made me desire the map even more is the dynamic gameplay that was introduced. The dynamic gameplay of the map was created by controlling a master key that allowed the keymaster the ability to travel around map in more dynamic way. This intense gameplay gave me something that I wasn't even expecting, the desire for more games on this map. Last weekend I spoke to Multi and thought what great way to settle who was better at controlling the map and key, was to hold a tournament. So right now, we're opening the signup period from now until next Saturday, May 6th at 11:59 PST. Just comment down below if you're willing to join in on the fun. You can either sign up with a partner or if you don't have partner and would like to participate, please comment as well. There's no team limit currently and all are welcome to participate. Reminder, this is an unofficial tournament being held by a few ForgeHub members. There are no prizes being contributed towards this contest. This is meant to be for fun and bragging rights amongst the ForgeHub members. Come on, who can't resist the chance of bragging towards Multi that you're better than he is on his own map? For more info on the map check here, as @MultiLockOn just published the map today. If your teammate is not a ForgeHub member, just let us know. Being a ForgeHub member is not a requirement in order to competing in this tournament. ======================================== - UPDATE 5/3 Hey everyone, here's an update, a neat one at that. So there has been a new site in the works for quite some time and we're wanting to test this mini tournament that could lead into something bigger for ForgeHub in the future. Some of you may have heard whispers, but the site is called http://battlepro.com. So instead of hosting the tourney here in the forum thread, we've decided to run the tournament over at BattlePro. I've created the tournament on the site - http://battlepro.com/tournaments/arcanum-2v2-keymaster-tournament.5/view as you can see, it's a really robust setup for tournament play. In the future, ForgeHub will be planning on bigger forge map based tourneys that we plan on incorporating with BattlePro. So if you would like, go join the site, create your team, and join the tournament! As of right now, I've extended the registration time until May 8th, 12:00am on the tournament setup and left the tournament open for the duration of May. This will be a single elimination tournament. Let me know what you guys think. Remember the site is in beta, if things break, please let me know. Thanks, Nitro
My boy @S0UL FLAME and I are about to run this. Gamertags both match. Team name: team octopussy DISCLAIMER: There are frame drops at the corners of the map, it is what it is. If you don't want to deal with it then don't play lol it's Halo 5 everything runs like ass
GT: xXandrith I do need a partner. I know Arcanum like the back of my ****, and I have some strategies that Multi doesn't even know about. I was also once a champion level player in early H5, and I would be willing to grind some matchmaking to get some of that back.
HeX Reapers & HeX Reapers GT: HeX Reapers (1v2s are my middle name) (((Really though if someone needs a partner who top frags 70% of the time I play this map I'm here.)))
I usually pull top assists if you want some wonder twin powers. If you want references I think I'm a better halo player than everyone here so GT: Qrrbrbirbei --- Double Post Merged, Apr 29, 2017 --- I'll chip in $3.43
I'd be interested in playing halo seriously again for a bit, it's been a loonnngggg time. I'll shred you all edit: minus Dweeb, stories about him scare me
actually if I remember right I couldn't aim in H5, but I think tyrant told me that was because of the aim acceleration so I'll have to check that out --- Double Post Merged, Apr 29, 2017 --- Same But forreal @Xandrith if you can't find anyone better I'll hop in
@MultiLockOn I don't think it's a placebo, I deleted all my REQs and my aim feels so much better. @Erupt I haven't screwed with acceleration, should I?
Would you guys want me to make a tourney version of the map and just strip down objects to get the frame rate stable. Would be pretty easy but the map would look ugly...which would be lame.
