I completely missed this event, mind if someone could explain to me what happened? I need the context.

 

Are you not familiar with SecretSchnitzel? Not familiar with the event that got him banned? Both?

 

I know who he is, but not familiar with the ban or anything that caused it.

 

Well, there's not really much point in going into the details of the event that caused the ban, because it was just the straw that broke the camel's back.

He had previously been perma-banned on ForgeHub (and I think every other Halo site he's ever frequented). That perma-ban was lifted when new ownership took over the site. He was subsequently warned and banned repeatedly over a number of years, primarily for name calling, and generally being unfriendly to people he disagreed with. He also has his positive attributes, both personally and as a member of the forge community, but it just got to the point that the staff felt the 'bad' activity had outweighed the 'good' activity on the site. He's been given an extremely lengthy temporary ban as a result.

Also, this was created in his likeness, combining his forum avatar (JigglyPuff) with...well...a bomb that's about to explode, which should be pretty self-explanatory:

HE SHOULD NOT RETURN.

I have warned mods here (in the past) and at BE that allowing him to return will only lead to damage to the community leading to yet another ban. So what would be the point of allowing him to come back? (Keep that in mind if or when you decide to lift his ban.)

Those of you who advocate for leniency and want him back are his friends whom he doesn't harm, so of course you wouldn't see why he should be banned. Consider why he gets banned so often and then why you are not bothered by his anti social behavior.

 

Actually he's been pretty harsh to me before. He's grown somewhat and is actually nice to me now but throughout my entire forging days from H3 to H4 he hated on me constantly but I'm ok with him returning.

 

I have probably had more heated exchanges/flamewars with him than anyone else in the community. Our relationship is like an addict trying to rehabilitate, but keeps on relapsing.

With that said: I fully support his return. People simply need to have thicker skin. I do understand why staff won't reverse it, though.

 

You may feel the need to suffer as a battered wife. Don't let me stand in your way.
