I have to say that I think a lot like you.. I like the aesthetics on this map.. Im definitely checking this map out. maybe add some ideas in my version of Epitaph called Epiphany.. because my version was built before the update and I used to many pieces trying to achieve nice aesthetics.. I also tried the floors to look more like the originals on Halo 3 but they were causig my map to much framerate issues.. maybe now I can fix that..:)

I've shared the map with my changes. GT: preacher001
Make sure to download the file not bookmark and let me know when you've grabbed it so that I can turn the visibility back off.

All of my changes center around rocket jump as well as I swapped one of your cannon men back to a more classic lift style. The main lift will need a bunch more of your cool aesthetics to pull it together but you should much prefer the shape and functionality of that lift area now. I didn't realize how difficult recreating the original lift would be until I was on my fourth incarnation. It could still be tuned but it essentially functions like the original now.

I accidentally saved the map after turning a buttload of the objects light bake off. If you end up wanting to use the changes I made as you continue forward, you might want to completely or selectivity turn your light bake back on. I didn't really art anything up, and there's a bunch of objects that need attending, like some of the flooring that I quickly laid so that I could continue moving forward with what I wanted to show you.

    Hope this helps and inspires.

Lets put it this way, if I said there were 20 gravity slides in there I probably wouldn't be exaggerating. Now it needs to be filled with some simple FX. Probably just something glowy that outlines the lifts boundary. I could have made it out of visible sliders but since the sliders look like a bloody xmas tree I think it best to do something else.

I'm not sure how the devs built the original but my creation moves you in almost the same way. Once you enter the gravity well from any angle you can imagine, you get pulled towards the center and shot forward to the platform. It's probably a 75% success rate that could easily be bumped up to 100% if you increase the rocket platform to scale. The rocket platform should actually be a bit higher as well. The lifts ejection sliders would have to be adjusted to account for the change though.

I agree that this type of lift is needed on this map since there are several ways to enter the lift. You should also adjust the normal lifts so you land on the the floor above, instead of bouncing up and down.

I put sliders in for one of those as well. ;)
    Hopefully Linssker likes them.

As far as I know in my version of Epitaph called Epiphany the main elevator that launches you to the rocket Platform works all the time.. I used two lifts.. one Covenant lift and a invisible launcher the Covenant lift sends you to the invisible launcher that takes you to the platform.. It's smooth and feels a lot like the original.. I don't know if that's what you mean..... I hope that helps

I have seen Epiphany. It's the same. You should be moved to the Rocket platform by entering the orange lift area from any direction on either level. As it stands now you have to aim for the grav lift item if you drop in from the upper entrance, and if you miss you end up standing right beside it. This is why you need sliders for this area. You can probably get away with using as few as 4 sliders if you are clever with their placement.

i didn't understand very well the conversation but now you and preacher001 explain it to me.. I think I did something like that in the map control room that has 3 levels and you can enter no mater which floor you're at..there's room for improvement though but it's a step forward.. Thanks for explaining I'll figured it out some day because the elevator of epitaph is more tricky
