Yo I'm gonna be playing some Doubles on a map I need testing, and a remake I need testing. Gimme a response if you wanna jump on that. Thanks.
Only viable strategy? That should be fixed very quickly if that's actually the case. As far as Bastion goes, he's obviously been over-buffed. However, people have always and always will complain about Bastion, no matter the fact that he's been largely terrible and unused at a mid to high level of play since the beta. He's a polarizing and volatile (see above) character, so it makes sense if you don't like him. On the other hand, he's extremely easy to counter. If you lose to a bastion it's due one of two things (pre-buff). You've either been severely outplayed, or your enemy team is somewhat coordinated while yours is not.
So glad performance levels in Forge will see improvements very soon. Time to dust off a few of our maps we've been leaving behind
Top of Xbox department says their latest installment of a game franchise is the best. Shocking, really.
It costs about 3 times your house to get just the lot in my neck of the woods. I might be able to get a super cheap Condo for that much, but then they want $400-500 per month for strata fee's. This sadly from a small city of less than half a million.
Google sketchup. Free and pretty easy. I've only got ACAD at work so I use Sketchup for all my home and freelance projects. Done a few map layouts with it too
I actually think that is the new NRG. So, it was a pro team vs. a pro team. Also, Bastion meta will be the death of Overwatch if something isn't done or if players don't figure out the counter. I think solo heals(Ana/Zen), dva, winston, tracer, genji, and a flex dps(Widow, Mcree, Soldier, Phara etc.) Would work against it. It would take some Korean coordination though. Also, agree with Erupt on Overwatch maps. The game is about team fighting and coordinated pushes. Each map has something that allows characters who don't typically thrive on other maps to thrive on that map. So, even non-meta characters can be terrifying under certain circumstances. Example: Junkrat is pretty much trash but he works really well on the Sanctum portion of Nepal and first point Anubis defense. He can work on Eichenwalde first point but there are better comps you can run here. Torbjorn is a 2CP god since the last update. Symmetra is nearly always viable on defense. Hanzo is good on Offense on certain maps. Then you have characters that can work on any map in any situation. (Tracer, Genji, Reinhardt, Roadhog, Soldier, Zarya, Mcree(If you are a god.) I also think the more movement abilities you have in the game. The more the maps have to be linear so it is not an unpredictable **** show. Like a Halo 5. I have never agreed with the thinking that the more move ability I have the options I should have. It works in games like Quake because the advance movement takes actual mechanical skill. Same with TF2 even though their maps are a bit more linear. But rocket jumping in that game can be done to an insane extent.
I feel your pain, 150k is maybe a down payment for a house by me. Even the houses that need a **** ton of work go for 600k+ On a forge related note. If anyone wants me to take a look at their extermination maps and point out any broken hiding spots, let me know. I've been known to find cheesy hiding places on many maps and even break out of some.
My city is at about 150,000 population and it's an oil boom town. My house was $80,000 in 2008 & will sell around $125,000 roughly right now. Will most likely be more when we actually sell it in 6 months or so. BUT, this isn't in the suburbs or in a nice neighborhood. The new houses they are building in the nice neighborhoods are (for a decent 3-4 bedroom 2 bath) going for 250k-400k. Our thing is we can do this transition we have planned and have a good size house in a somewhat decent neighborhood and not have a 30 year mortgage. We could even sell this one in the next few years for ALL profit & buy a new house if we want. I only have 2 kids so the extra room with the desk is now my music studio so that's a plus. Also, these new homes they build have no yard at all, I'll have plenty yard for the kids in this scenario.
@Zombievillan I dig your house's layout. The addition you have going is great, separating the TV room from the dining room. The 45 degree bar is sweet as well. Is the staircase going down? If so, you could have LoS from dining room to TV room (and TV would be visible if you moved it into the corner). That would be ideal for if you have a lot of parties. Also, have you thought of a foyer-type area for the entrance? Some people don't like when people walk right into the open, or people can see a large portion of the inside from the front door. Something to consider.
Thanks! But the stairs is actually just a large utility closet with a pull down ladder to the attic. I just added those stairs to the blueprint so I can show my wife and the contractor where I want them. I like the idea of the foyer type room. My bosses house has one which transferred to my drawing, would have an arch way to the living room and an opening to the hall way. My wife has a huge family so we will have plenty of gatherings. That's why I added the bar style table behind the couch with some extra chairs. She really wants an island in the kitchen so I drew that up for her as well. The corner is a fireplace that was added after my grandma moved in a looooong time ago. That side of the house was actually a carport that she had closed in and added the floor to match the rest of the house. (It's a pier & beam foundation)
Maybe after the update I'll return to forge again, just for hobby though. I'm going to make a series of maps inspired from this architecture, with a lot of verticality. Or maybe I will do only the aesthetics
Oh man I have a huge archive of European architecture from my visits and travels. Time to dig some up and get some juices flowing. I'm also going to Prague in early april so that will be a great experience too.
