As much as I like how much more easy it is find a map under our files and bookmarks now that we have thumbnails, it's still a fairly rudimentary system. Once anyone has more than a couple pages of bookmarks it becomes an act of tedium to find the appropriate files. One of the main problems being that all bookmarks are created equal, and we know this is not true. Bookmarks not only contain our favorite maps to play, but also maps we find interesting for things like; layout, art style, creative objects use, concepts or potential. This leaves us with a mess of maps and no quick way to sort them. The simple act of being able to sort our files in order from favorites, to likes, to bookmarked, would be infinitely helpful. With a little more effort and creativity, we could see a category feature which would allow us to get specific on how we organize maps, including creating playlists. If someone has the foresight, or should I say hindsight (this feature was implemented back in many old FPS games) to allow us to properly implement these user created playlists, we may never need to pause to set up the next map. Another issue I've noticed is that we have to start a fresh search to refine very basic aspects of our current search. Such as filtering between all files, gametypes, and prefabs. There should be a single button tap to filter these from within your current search results. We should also be able to switch the sorting order in a similar manner. Again I appreciate the current system, but it is in serious need of enhancing.
people could name their maps with categorical keywords at the front of the map's name, but coordinating all forgers to do the same thing... yeah.
As much as I'd love any form of file organization, I shudder at the thought of 343's UI team trying to tackle that issue.
