TL;DR: Recovered map joinable, playable and saveable but not visible on waypoint. Any way to get help? Long story short, I deleted the map I was working on for a few weeks on Waypoint because I thought the X was for deleting screenshots. I had the file on my computer, so I quickly joined it only to find it wasn't saveable. Thinking at wits' end, I force quit Halo 5: Forge and the game automatically saved as part of the recovery process. Joining back in I was very happy to find that the map was still alive on my computer, and that it was saveable. However, even though I can link screenshots, can search for the file and can be joinable by online players (and can be saved by them), the map does not show up on Waypoint whatsoever and thus can't be shared that way. Any copies of the file are also invisible to waypoint. Also, when choosing the map in forge or custom games, the title or description is never shown, and the 'Retrieving Data...' loading message never disappears. However, as stated before, selecting 'play' loads the map normally. How can I save the map from total destruction moreso than I already caused?
I guess, but there are 1160 items and I'm not sure how long that would take. I'd prefer a fix that makes the file visible again but I suppose this is a last resort. If by 'visible' you mean 'search visibility' then yes. You can search for 'Corrupted' within Halo 5 itself and it will turn up but it just doesn't show up on Waypoint.
For anyone who does this in the future, try contacting ske7ch343 on twitter and/or messaging him on waypoint. I've at least started getting help from him that way.
I guess he's 343 then? well, that sounds promising, as they should have direct access to the database these files are stored in, and should be able to correct problems like this (in theory)
Have you found a way to fix this? One of my map is having this problem (really don't want to prefap the whole map...)
