I've encountered these bugs on two separate files: Objects randomly spawn invisible at any point after 1500 objects are used. Only way to fix is to reload the file and delete objects Duplicated groups "lose" pieces because they turn invisible at high object counts In Forge, Grenades move through the air in slow motion and take twice as long to explode In Custom Games, players turn invisible at random intervals and cannot be damaged In Custom games, Auto Aim disables at random intervals In Custom Games, Weapons and Power Ups cannot be picked up off of maps Grenades turn invisible and cannot be picked up or despawned, but can still be shot @Duros
Because of framerate, my maps now a days rarely go past 1400 objects, so this shouldn't be a problem for me. Good thing too, I love Barrens, except for the god awful dust on the Dust Storm setting.
Someone, please figure out a way for this to be manipulated into a permanent setting. I want to see kids crying because of their lack of thumbs
Just go to "Map Settings" where you normally would control fog and switch the "Near Fog" setting from "Map Default" to "None"
@A 3 Legged Goat None of these issues are limited to Barrens. For the sake of clarification, these issues have been around since the item count increase. Some of them even happen on dev maps, like the stuck grenade/weapon thing. ** Edit ** In his entirety, Goat isn't wrong. The disappearing (insert category) glitch has been well noted since day one of the 1600 item cap. Alpine and Glacier both seem to be the most commonly affected by it but I mean Barrens is fair game too. For me as well, 1500 is where **** can start hitting the fan but it triggering seems random at best. There are some things you can do to force it to happen, ie add the full 16 players, play the FX really heavy, fire a ton of projectiles (rockets and caster bolts break **** down the quickest) The only way to fix it is to reduce the count. I can say with a level of confidence that item density plays a huge role in this. Maps that are more compact seem to get it quicker than spread out maps.
I've Forged on every canvas except Parallax since the Budget increase and I have never run into this issue anywhere except Barrens.
I mentioned plenty of the time it's random at best but I'm not making this up. I've seen happen first hand on both Alpine and Glacier though. Same set of issues.
I guess I got lucky. Dark Matter and siege never ran into those problems and i've played around 20 custom games on it (dark matter). Yikes to those who have!
