I don't disagree with the first sentence, though it's obviously a simplified explanation. The main difference is that I just don't find that type of gameplay inherently boring/uninteresting. I rather enjoy it, when considering it one of many gameplay 'genres'. I wouldn't ever want the same gameplay experience exclusively over and over again, but it's something I enjoy enormously in the right doses, on maps that are relatively well designed. It's a term that's used to describe map flow (movement). It's used when referring to maps like Midship, where players primarily walk around the exterior ring, and rarely venture into the center of the map. It generally has a negative connotation amongst forgers.
Destiny's gameplay is ass outside of PvE as far as level design goes, but at least the art direction lets them get away with unique environments.
I just don't like the price. And shotguns. And lack of raid matchmaking. The art and concepts are my favorite parts. So hell yeah I'd forge in it.
Spend 30 minutes trying to get a random to use the Aegis properly in the new Nexus strike, then tell me you still want Raid Matchmaking. I reckon Destiny Forge would make for some interesting maps, as right now every dev map that frequently pops up in rotations is a small to mid range map with limited verticality. If you built a map like that on Halo you'd be recommended not to have too many spare clips on a shotty power weapon for 4v4, but Destiny spawns 12 people in with them with at least a spare clip.
@Dweeb Your buddy Reach told me you hated the map. Don't troll me. Clearly the best map ever is Orbital. Anyone who disagrees is factually wrong. It is actually one of my favorite maps. No troll.
Don't call me a kid, kid. After I get done working out tonight. I am probably going to be on that game forging something. You should show me some stuff because I always found you to have good taste. By that I mean you like CE ****. I should show you the message Reach sent me. He personally sent me a message to tell me how much he hated my map. Then tell me forgers never listen to players. I had a good laugh.
