Please stop making derrogatory comments like that, you have no right to flame Ivory or this great map, which was featured FOR GOOD REASON...
You go shock, teach this one his place. lol But on the subject of the map I couldn't agree more with all the other posts here. Clearly this took alot of work and planning. I've never even considered making a map on standoff due to its harshly bumpy ground, how did you get it all so nice and flat lights? A agree that criticising the sender nodes is a bit moronic, if you want to go into them then you will, but I must admit I did prefer the wider doors of Halo 1 than these thin things. This is however, a great map which deserves to be featured, I'll have to check out coldfront Ivory, and when did you get Premium? Nice 1
patience is a virtue when forging maps like standoff/avalanche. And Coldfront is my new map, still unreleased. Look for it tomorrow most likely, perhaps the day after. Appreciate the kind words!
coldfront is schweet with it's mario pipes, man how i love the mario pipes... back on topic, what was the hardest part? i'm guessing the shield door corridor.
in the shoutbox u said sumin about how **** did this get featured well i think u wer being a bit modest coz wow i still love this map after 10 time iv played it and prob still the 100th time good job man
I thought it was a great map. Although somewhat small, it had very nice fine details (i.e. sniper spawn) that made it seem like it could have actually been a real base at some time. Now for the Bad News: It's not very playable. It was somewhat boring as anything except slayer, and then I would usually not spawn close enough to the good weapons or the banshee (those idiots who think they can snipe, but in reality unload entire clips to kill one person). I kept the map though because I thought it was a great sky base and truely genuine. Great job.
I know this is kind of an old thread, but I love the map. The sky base is really cool, except I kind of agree that it isn't too playable. The reason I say this is because it's kind of like the ground is the death zone, and it's hard to get back up because man-cannons are really inaccurate. I played with my friends, and they liked it. Good job. (Midnite Wolves, what rank are you? Are those all ranked medals? I don't believe you)
