Almost finished this thing, just wanted to share this image that shows the scale of the structure, even though the map is a mere 2v2. I seriously need to start working to something smaller, I tend to create only giant structures and this is becoming a problem for everything else.
B-but, I thought I was 3original5u abusing pyramoids like that ;_; Looks neat though, good luck with your surgery.
https://www.forgehub.com/maps/montego-palace.4452/ Map thread is up! I'd love for anyone to try it out or just give me opinions!
So my third and final grifball map will be set in Columbia from Bioschock Infinite. I've just made one in Rapture so mind as well try this too.
The best way to get names is to just spam characteristics about the map in a thesaurus online and put something together if you are having issues, there is a lot of rocks so I just used rock and ended with promontory, then I added complex to the end and came up with "Promontory Complex". I have a bunch of issues naming things so I would highly recommend doing it. Besides that you gotta love the new forerunner pieces, it really sends these maps to another level.
This looks so good that I have to turn on my xbox now to look at it, but trust me when I say that I am more annoyed than impressed.
It's not searchable cause it's not done But thank you! I think... Yeah but I'm very selective about my map names. They have to be spot on, and something a developer would have chosen. In fact 2 of my map names have been later used by 343 lol
"Overlooked" Its a synonym of unsung which is a synonym of nameless and from the picture it looks like it has was high ground to "look over" You're welcome
Geothermal, Raindance, Forlorn, Sulfur Cove, Subterranean is this map even based underground? Or is it in the sky like that Twilight Princess dungeon? SO MANY QUESTIONS, at least let us see more so that we're having an easier job of naming your map. Looking fantastic however, can't wait to bookmark it.
I'm making a 4v4 Forerunner map where the main gimmick is a broken teleporter that sends you to a random one of ~10 invisible exits around the map. Oh yeah, and lightning strikes it 0.5s after someone goes through, killing anyone standing too close. I'm expecting it to be a gameplay disaster because what the hell hasn't been this week, but it's been fun to build.
I've finally gotten around to making a BTB map (and unlike my other three-or-so prior attempts, I'm actually going to stick with this one). I present Exsanguination. Exsanguination is a map that was originally intended to be a remake of Blood Gulch, but ultimately became a map inspired by Blood Gulch and as such deviates from Blood Gulch's layout, with more details in the spoilers. Spoiler: Rough Overhead View Also present are the vehicles planned: 2 AA Wraiths, 2 Corp Warthogs, 2 Corp Missile Hogs, 2 Ultra Ghosts and 2 Wasps/Hannibal Wasps (still trying to decide which to use). Spoiler: Weapon Set The weapons chosen for the map are a mixture of the standard Blood Gulch (Halo PC version) weapon set and Coagulation's, with some Forerunner weapons replacing certain weapons from each. The map's main power weapons are the Sniper Rifle (1 per base), Shotgun (1 per base), Sentinel Beam, and a Rocket Launcher+SPNKr EX hybrid. Other weapons used are Assault Rifle (Ammo +), DMR (COG), H1 Magnum, and the standard versions of the Boltshot, Hydra, Needler, Plasma Pistol, and Suppressor. Spoiler: Grotto The area that would normally have the small cave has been made into a grotto fortified from a leftover battle. The fortification possesses a Damage Boost, which can be used normally or in tandem with the Shade Turret. The back of the grotto has breakable walls leading to the side caves. Spoiler: Side Caves Along the walls of the canyon close to the where the base sites will be placed are openings that lead to the side caves, a more infantry-focused area that lead into the grotto, blocked of by a breakable wall.
One of my favorite things to do while Forging is drop an ammo box down somewhere on the map. It makes the map feel like it's being worked on, ya know? Well anyway, I took it a step further and made myself a "Workbench" prefab. It doesn't really resemble a table, but it's made up of all the simple blocks I normally use, a few spawn points, grenades, a weapon pad, a flag, invisible teleporters and a man cannon, player scale blocks, and indeed my trusty ammo box makes its appearance. This saves me a lot of time going through the menus. It's all about 30 pieces and the cool thing is that you can always find it easily because of the weapon pad icon.
