http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/12/30/the-10-most-underrated-fps-maps-ever-made I guess it was the most underrated, but it's all opinions anyway.
Thanks for the link, I actually just came back from reading it haha. It was a nice article, much of these maps I never played
I made 3 other 007 maps, Complex and Bunker from Goldeneye and Istanbul from The World Is Not Enough. Nostalgia hits hard with maps like these. Simplicity is always appreciated in classic maps. I'd love to get a lobby going and play this map with my 007 gametype. Would definitely bring back all the memories! Nice job, Chron!
Thanks. I saw your other Goldeneye maps and they look great. Hopefully we can get a classic lobby together soon. I'm anxious to try out your gametype.
I always felt like this was one of the weakest maps from Goldeneye (which I was also obsessed with, btw). Still, it brings back great memories of all nighters with a bunch of friends (back when split screen was still a thing ). Looks like you did a wonderful job on the remake. I'm gonna download this and take a run through it for old times sake.
Why did you think it was one of the weakest maps? Was it the tiny hallways only one player wide, or the dozens of columns scattered throughout a flat plane.
Dude...dude. Dude! This is just Sweet! Literally until Halo and even after Halo, the Nintendo 64 & goldeneye It was literally a huge part of my gaming experience growing up. Loved this map, haven't played this yet but plz tell me you have the moving doors?
I tried adding them, but scripted objects don't bake lighting so they looked pitch black. I had to remove them for that reason. Too bad too, because I know many people will be missing them. EDIT: Nevermind, I got it working properly at last
Okay... I got the scripted doors to look right. I hope they function to everyone's liking. They open on a secret invisible switch but won't close on their own. You can stand in the spot you opened them and hit X if you want to close them. They were only supposed to be one use, so I doubt they will ever be closed as the switch is invisible anyway. I wanted them to close on their own, but I'm a scripting noob, and have little patience. Ive already spent hours getting this tiny feature to work properly. If people have problems with them closing, I can look into it further. Only thing missing now is the one shot Golden Gun, but the Halo CE pistol is close enough for me. I think I'm going to make my next project Temple. I will need to figure out how to get the moving objects to return to their position on that map, so if anyone knows whats up with it, leave me some instructions.
