Recently with the new Monitor's Bounty update, forgers received a long requested feature to the maps. All maps begin as invisible so no one can steal your maps and ideas. Unfortunately, this also comes with a possibly little known feature. Whenever you finish a map and make it visible for others to see, then you go back in and change something, even just go in and accidentally save the map, it gets toggled invisible again. Maps should be submitted to ForgeHub toggled visible, but just one save will make it so your map is invisible and no one can bookmark it anymore until you toggle it back to visible. For any who aren't aware this happens, please take care to note this for the future. This PSA is for all who don't know this yet. Make sure when you save a map you had visible that you check and be sure it is still visible, or your maps won't spread around!!
Yeah, I realized this a few days ago when I linked a map in WAYWO. A bunch of maps I've tried downloading from the Maps page are hidden, presumably by accident. One solution is to Bookmark the file and link to that. It seems like Bookmarks stay visible, and any updates you make to the original file will transfer over to the Bookmark.
maps, for some reason (pc version) revert to old names too... like the metadata associated with maps gets lost or reverted somehow.
So, if your filename gets changed, and you simply change it back (not a new copy), do any book marks get retained?
