I don't have any interest in mini games either, but I still think this update is awesome. I don't think 343 will ever develop serious gameplay that I really enjoy. By releasing content like this, they're making it possible for us to develop what we want on our own. For example, I know that @Sitri has already been working on developing H1 style spawning using the new options. It also gives us a wide variety of option by applying traits to players. This opens up just as much potential for serious gameplay as it does for mini games.
Im not knocking the update, just the battlegolf from first my first look. 'Serious gameplay' is just what i would call the team based competitive gameplay in ranked arena. Everyone has their own opinions of course. I should of just said "I wish they would put forge maps in ranked arena." Every content release just seems to blow over my preferred halo experience and its disappointing is all. Also to see the work our community has done with forge yet .001% of it graces matchmaking is disappointing aswell. Im sure there is tons of potential thanks to this update and I still have dubs so im content. Thank you 343 for the update. Im excited to see the grande launcher in MM and im also excited to get to 100% of my download. Currently at 16% after 3 hours.

But frame rate is worse now. I worked forever to cleanse Deluge of frame rate drops before the update... I loaded it up today, and without changing anything the frame rate was far worse than it had *ever* been.
Ov I think overlays are what caused it to begin with... Now they've added two more. I don't think they seem to understand all this new crap is worthless if the bone can't handle it.
Nothin' says serious like a good old game of tower of power. Lots of MLG tournaments following that and Foundation infection back in the day, when Halo was, you know- serious. Satire aside, it's important to have both in order to have a strong community. The focus on serious gameplay has been going on for around a year now, so I don't see this as something worth complaining about.
Naw it actually got slightly worse after they added textures. I noticed it then, and then memories of reach it got even worse and then anvils legacy even worse and now it apparently took a ****? That being said, I'm sure they are lying lol I just know for a fact it first started declining with the original texture update.
I cleared up my meaning of 'serious' in my second post on the subject if you didnt see it. There has been almost no focus on ranked content at all. Genuinely, what are you referring to when you say they've focused on it for a year now? Two or three sets of weapon changes in the arena playlists? Orion removed completely, pegasus removed for half the year and only replaced with Chrons map?(we just got back orion and peg) Low-population-breakout maps? Everything else has been pretty much content only ever used in warzone, custom games and social 'casual' playlists. HCS? Whats that doing for majority outside of pro players? I also want to bring up that we have repeatedly been told that they cant do anything about the broken matching system because of population count and now when the population is lower than ever they split us up with extra playlists. UPDATE: Download is at 22% at 6 hours in.
1.2mbps Down .64 Up, CenturyLink. Best i can buy, only service i can buy. People dream about white picket fences and nice cars... all ive ever wanted is fast internet. I watch all movies, tv shows and youtube videos in 480p. Try forging on this connection(you have to wait about 2-3 seconds for each object to light up), or getting an onyx in arena when you feel like half a second behind everyone else. I played halo 5 on 20mbps connection one time... my guns felt completely OP. To be fair though halos netcode outperforms any other fps ive played so im thankful for that.
Jeeez that's just sad. How's that even possible? A girl I know teaches in Rwanda and Zimbabwe and they have a better connection than this. Is this the best you can afford or the best you can get at your location? If it makes you feel any better, I'm rocking a superconnection but my shots still hit air in this game so...
Ive been managing the best i can i guess. I wire my xbox and turn off wireless when i play to get any sort of decent connection. Its the best possible service i can get. Service providers often monopolize areas so they dont have to compete with each other and although i pay for the best connection package they have(5mbps) i still only get 1.2. Houses in the neighborhood across from mine all have xfinity up to 100mbps. So close yet so far.
